Richard Drummond a.k.a R.D, Member of the Freedom Writers and lead vocalist, plays a wide range of musical instruments from guitar and keyboard, to harmonica and drums. He also spends most of his time writing lyrics and making beats for the group the Freedom Writerz, a well known group of professional Hip-Hop artists.

Through the duration of his life his musical influences has increased and he now experiments with rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and much more, currently R.D. is studying different types of musical influances to further his knowledge in the music industry and widen his horizons.

R.D’s ambitions to continue the group the Freedom Writerz is great, and when asked he told us “The Freedom Writers is a new move for the UK Hip-Hop scene, this is also make or break for myself, failure is not an option” he also added that “I have many musical genres at my arsenal and am continuing to develop them to progress with my goals in the music industry”.

R.D’s inspirations in his life have been Stevie Wonder, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Newton Faulkner, John Lennon and The Ink Spots and many more. 

Richard Drummond has performed at different venues within and around Chester and he hopes to show what he has to the world.
