Making up for lost time we are back with another Redstone Press debut in the form of Henry Greenleaf.

After Liam Robertson’s Village of Killin release we were on a collision course with Henry, both parties reached out to one another simultaneously in hopes of working together and here we are! Henry spent a lot of time in the Lake District prior to and during the beginning of the pandemic and this release is the fruit beared from that period! Full of tense space and creative freedom, Kirkstone EP is Henry’s finest work to date (in our biased and arrogant opinion) and highlights his ever-upwards trajectory.

The EP’s namesake boots down the door with his instantly recognisable drum work and intricate synth lines, simply put Kirkstone is a club killer! 

Closing out the EP is “Group Translate”, a symphony of cascading sounds that ramp up the pace and force you into taking notice! This hammer of a track sounds like something you’d hear as you pass through a blackhole in space, on eccies.

The fifth transmission on BRUK comes from Chewlie, a breakthrough artist from Switzerland adept at sculpting tense, sharply defined atmospheres with eerie amounts of space and dreadful amounts of bass. Following up on her 2022 Creature LP for YUKU, this eight-track deep dive explores nervous hallways of dislocated rhythm with a UK soundsystem attitude and a subtle but striking approach to sound design.
 
In contrast with the strident melodic tones of Creature, Chewlie demonstrates her versatility as a sonic artist (alongside her established work as a graphic designer). Understated moodiness is the key here, resulting in powerful heads-down immersion heaters with stand-out moments to make the floor fall in line amidst meditative, patient pauses in between. In the field of leftfield dubwise club music, Chewlie’s voice strikes out with purpose and poise, slotting into the firmament of BRUK as another natural misfit in the many-sided bassweight landscape.

Ukrainian DJ and producer PVLV returns to Kyiv-label United Rhythms for his second release 'Lights Off EP'. PVLV uses his love for UK club styles and soundsystem culture as a jump-off point for three mutated dancefloor slammers. The hallmarks that have shaped his sound to date are all here; nimble breaks and beefy sub bass plumes underpin glitchy melodies for an effect that’s as light as it is propulsive. In 'Killah Tape' the producer establishes his sonic palette from the outset, with driving, high-energy drum work alongside stretched vocals chops.
