"Tundra - a very simple performative patch. No external modulation. Loki’s Square wave from VCO1 hits the filter, where cutoff and resonance are tweaked by hand. PWM is also swept by hand. That's it, but what a sound!"

Loki - Tundra - Remote Vision

This track is a demo of a Loki ambient acid lead. The track starts dry with two saw oscillators and brings in an external delay effect while sweeping the cutoff. The sub-oscillator is introduced, then resonance, and finally hard sync. The sequence uses Loki's GLIDE, plus ENV input connected to note velocity to provide accented notes, giving the characteristic 'acid' sound.

Loki - Ambient Acid - Archaea

Remote Vision (Don Tyler of Synphaera) has produced this Loki demo track. This is an example of how Loki can be used with other modules. He describes his process below.

"Loki is the lead in this track. The rhythmic plucks are generated from a Mutable Instruments Braids module. An external LFO is connected to one of the filter cutout inputs. Loki's VCO 2 is being flipped from tri to saw on the fly and layered with VCO 1."

Loki - Taped Future - Remote Vision

This track is a demo of a Loki acid performance. This track demonstrates the subtractive resonance mode of Loki, which maintains the resonance peak level when the resonance is increased but decreases the bass level.

External drum samples are used.

The track starts with manual changes to the VCF cutoff and cutoff modulation 1 depth, which is connected to the ENV output. Towards the end of the track, the frequency of VCO 2 is swept while hard-synced to VCO 1. The sequence uses Loki's GLIDE, plus ENV input connected to note velocity to provide accented notes, giving the characteristic 'acid' sound. Delay and external stereo-enhancing effects are applied to the mix.
