Originally from Chester, Jim Dusty is renowned on Manchester Dance Scene as being one of the most loved DJ’s for his energy, style and ability to create an electric atmosphere. With various residencies under his belt, including at Orange Nation for ON Bar as well as Aftershock, Recreation, Spirit and ALERT, Jim Dusty over the years has firmly established a strong following of committed clubbers who crave his uplifting and fist pumping sound. He has an unrivalled attention to detail with the ability to play music you’ve heard before in a style you have never experienced.

Starting out in 2010 when he was given his first residency at popular Manchester house music venue ‘Spirit’ on Canal Street, Jim Dusty has throughout the years build a solid reputation for knowing how to read a crowd and get the party started. If you like your music uplifting, energetic with the foundation always funky vocal house, quite simply, Jim Dusty should be on your hit list to check out.

As well as playing for his residencies over the years, as a DJ he has exported his sound to some of the biggest Gay Clubbing brands in the UK, namely WE PARTY UK, BEYOND and has a close association with UK clubbing giant Federation, often playing associated after parties and at times has played as the main stage. He is often found playing at some of the most established Pride events across country.

Outside of the UK, brand Jim Dusty has also enjoyed countless visits to mainland Europe, including Guarana in Ibiza/Balearics.

Mix Series - UG Hype 033 - Jim Dusty

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great week. We are back with a brand new mix in the series, 034 comes from DJ & producer @anaatauk

Following on from his releases with us this summer we invite ANAATA back to the label which a brand new guest mix. ANAATA has been on the club scene for close to 15 years, getting his first break when a promoter heard his music collection at a house party and suggested he should DJ, fast forward six months and he was playing to 1000+ bank holiday crowds in Portsmouth. With a two decade history attracting releases from artists like K-Klass, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Hifi Sean, Louis Lennon, Gordon John and Mark Knight and scoring plays on Radio One, Capital, Kiss, Gaydio and This Is Electric in 2016. DJ sets for Kidology include venues like Haubentaucher (Berlin), Ministry Of Sound (The Gallery & Saturday Sessions), Egg, Electric Brixton (Official SW4 Afterparty with Pete Tong & Eric Prydz), and a party at MODE which featured K-Klass Live and CJ Mackintosh. 

ANAATA is also associated with Brighton Pride, this August being his sixth year playing in the park, and the fourth year in the 8000 capacity Wild Fruit Tent where he has shared the stage with Fatboy Slim, Seamus Haji, Prok & Fitch, Mark Doyle and many more. In addition last year he also closed both the St James St Party on Saturday night and Marine Parade Street party on Saturday night to tens of thousands as well as taking over from The Freemasons at their beach Party. He is also a resident for long running party Wild Fruit also DJing at their offshoot parties like Rebel, Sunday Sundae, DTPM Pride Party and many more pop up parties. 

His musical interests aren’t restricted to the office and DJ booth, 2011 saw his first production release, a collaboration with Mark Wilkinson on an official remix for Inner City which got worldwide accolade with an 8/10 review in DJ mag, press on Defected and US Big Shot Magazine. This lead to a string of releases and remixes both solo and with Mark Wilkinson gaining support from a string of A list DJs. ‘The Player’ stayed at the top of the download charts for six months, leading to being in the top 10 biggest selling tracks of the year in it’s genre. ‘House Music Baby’ was names one of the top 10 biggest tunes in the Miami Music Conference from both Traxsource and Beatport as well as getting an official remix from Hifi Sean. His Pride giveaway remixes have gained numerous A listings on Gaydio and this year will be a collaboration with Amrick Channa who featured on The Voice. In 2016 he produced an official remix for House Of Wallenberg which featured the reclusive superstar Adeva, he also has his first remix album coming on Kidology towards the end of the year.
