'Yehaflaki to Sea' (2022) is composed for H.O.A. installation and it's a binaural mix. So, listen to it with headphones for a much better experience.

Talking to the sea has always been a meditative experience for me. The piece is based on this completely abstract dialogue between a subject and the waves of the sea. Along with synth-generated sounds, over 60 sound objects are recorded for the piece. Most of the recorded sounds are manipulated afterwards on computer to have abstracted sound materials, whereas, some sounds are used in their conventional context to give listener a nostalgia. The perception of space is highly important, because the immersiveness of the music aims to break the reality of audience and to persuades the reality of the piece, which is a key component for dramatic continuity. Although the name ‘Yehaflaki’ doesn’t exist, it is a perfect representative anagram for the abstraction of the sound materials from their origins, while the sea is representing relatively more ‘concréte’ sounds.

PS: I highly recommend listening to the piece in a dark environment or eyes closed.
