It was an absolute honour and pleasure to be asked to open for Thick as Thieves and Untitled Group's event on Saturday 3 July 2021.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1hr15 mins and received a great deal of positive feedback, much of it from people who had never heard me play or heard of me at all. That positive feedback absolutely made my night, thank you to everyone who came to have a chat with me.

Over the last ten years, Gumm graduated from being an active promoter hosting renegade parties in obscure public spaces to performing at Melbourne’s biggest festivals, including Let Them Eat Cake, Pitch Music & Arts and smalltown. As co-founder of Melbourne brand Darklove, he hosted international acts The Drifter and Damon Jee to go with regular bookings supporting major acts from Maceo Plex to DJ Koze and more. His recent debut single ‘Struck’, released on Berlin-based Ombra International, the in-vogue label run by indie-dance maestro Curses, served as a crucial entry point into the global scene. With his recent headline show selling out over 500 tickets, Gumm is well situated to be at the Melbourne forefront of a new, compelling global sound with roots in genres like nu-wave, indie-dance and nu-disco.

MOTION Music Festival 2021 - Closing Set
