‘The Pulse of Iron’ an apt reflection of modern progression into the unknown industrial world. It comes from Naarm based artist, Consulate who has found a home on Pure Space Records for our 10th label release. On this EP, Consulate delivers four tracks of dance music for the dystopian with a slick DnB sheen.

On the A-side ‘Postrach’ the centres the record squarely within the realm of its influences, its intricate percussive patterns offset by industrial ambience. Here a half-time snare cuts through the abyss of ambience, while a floating topline caries you through dreary territories.

‘Here beyond man’s judgements all covenants were brittle.’

The Awkwardly Cast is back again and for this episode we're proud to be hosting the sounds of a Berlin DJ on the rise. @bensleia first caught our attention with some of her deadly mixes for the likes of @lobster-theremin, @foldldn and @daisychain_podcast. Recently relocating to Berlin from Liverpool (where she still often plays at the institutional "24 Kitchen Street" nightclub), you can now regularly find her holding it down on @hoerberlin and @refugeworldwide, hosting her monthly "BRUITS" show. With a schedule as busy as hers, we feel honoured that she found the time to cook up this stormer of a mix for us. Get locked and lose yourself in this ferocious whirlwind of half stepping rhythms!

Tom Jarmey was live with another instalment of Deep Waters, this month he is joined by Text Chunk. Tom takes the first 60 with a selection of ambient and breaks, Text Chunk then takes the second hour with a bag of drum and bass, techno and jungle.

Suze’s debut EP ‘Structures 1-5’ looks to functional architecture in Sheffield and Bristol for inspiration. 

With previous contributions to the Pressure Dome imprint, Suze lands on Room II Records for his first expansive release. Speaking about the release, Suze says, ‘I wanted to view the structures not as practical, functional objects but rather from a purely aesthetic standpoint, as sculptures almost.

I tried to evoke certain physical characteristics of the structures. The static and repeating shapes found in the structures with looping melodies, or the hard and unnatural materials they’re made from with rough synth timbres.’

Ahead of its release on the 10th December, we have the exclusive stream of the emotive closer ‘Structure 5’ - a track which climbs from metallic pulsating synths into a kaleidoscopic melody filled with colour.
