The Seventy-fourth edition of our mix series comes from the newest addition to Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs roster, Videopath. Having recently released a stellar 12 inch on the label, Videopath has brought his addictive, joyful style to Peach Discs with two sublime tracks. One of the rhythms features a genius sample of none other than Rick Astley slotted nicely between a jeering synth-line, and the other is rich in funk-riddled bassweight. Aside from these details, the producer/DJ is fairly anonymous, with a short note being left with the mix being the only extra information we could gather. The note reads that ‘music has always been his cure for melancholy’ and that ‘he hopes this record can do the same for others’. The mix Videopath has provided for us does just that. Laced in breakbeats, sun-kissed synth leads and wobbling basslines, the mix supplies a nice backing track to the unrelenting sun we are experiencing in the UK at the moment. It’s a wonderful display of house music of all shapes and sounds, all coherently assembled into a playful sixty minutes that doesn’t lose traction throughout.

We return to the fold as we celebrate 6 months of Paradise Loops! We're so glad to be providing a weekly mix series for you guys and long may it continue! Considering this started as a small personal project, it's grown exponentially, and we hope it can keep providing you with some incredible music from around the globe.
