Warpath Jungle iii - arekatera (rerecorded)

collection of happy hardcore and gabber toons.

Warpath Wednesday - Happy Hardcore / Gabber set

Originally I was looking to release this album, alongside seven other tracks, but due to the introduction of soundclouds paid subscription service, coupled with me being broke, I've decided to select my 3 favourite traXXX out of the 10 I had shortlisted and release them instead.

This is a compilation of unreleased traXXX that I have made over the past half to full decade. Majority of the original DAW files have since been lost to time due to laptops dying, me indiscriminately factory resetting my PC and my external HDD being dropped from a large height. Thus, I bring to you this EP inspired by a mix of Breakcore, Jungle/Breakbeat, Hip Hop and Jersey Club.

Anchoring Luxuries - roughmxndmstr:
This song I made roughly around the years 2019/2020. Up to this point I was strictly a Hip Hop head, but I begun branching out after being introduced to genres such as Footwork, Ghettotek / Ghetto House and Jungle. I quickly fell in love with all of these genres, and amongst this new discovery Anchoring Luxuries was born. A Jersey Club-esque beat, with a mixture of Ghettotek and Memphis rap acapellas layered atop. I added my favourite verse from Danny Brown's 'Ain't It Funny' as I believe it takes the song away from drug glorification, which could easily be the misunderstood meaning behind the song, to the opposite. I have got access to a WAV version of this song as well, but I preferred this earlier version more sonically. 

MIND OSCILLATION - arekatera mix:
Mind Oscillation came about from teaching my good homie Young Gho$t how all the functions in Ableton's 'Beat Repeat' VST works. We got to a point where we just started twisting knobs until we turned what originally started as a breakbeat sample into the bassline that you here now. Gho$t and I made a rough lil jungle toon to this bassline and didn't touch it since. After getting heavily into DEEJAY CHAINWALLET's productions I found myself wanting to remake the entire track, again centered around the bassline, but with Breakcore instead of Jungle. 

Refining Our Fruits into Poison - demo:
This track I made around 2022? I think? lol. This one is a bit buzzy as its not really a dance track, at least not in my opinion. I focus more on establishing a vibe than a dancefloor on this track. Out of all the tracks on the EP, I would say that this is my favourite.

Eventually, when I remember rand can be fucked setting up a new PayPal account, I will upload this EP, with the 7 other tracks to bandcamp in its entirety. But until then, it will stay here.
