For our 6th release, CURSXR explodes into the Joog Music catalog with his “Shadow Bandz” EP. Coming out of Chicago, he flexes his well developed music taste with his debut on Joog Music. The opening track “Tunnels”, starts us off right with a ruff n’ rugged jungle tune carried by a dreamy synth. This gentle sound guides us straight into the middle of a circle at a dance battle. This bad boy gets straight to the point with the choppage only to flip the beat into a groovy footwork rhythm. This is followed by “Lando”, another jungle slammer that borrows from a variety of Chicago influenced soundscapes until we switch into a militant type of beat that lets you know that his time is here! The next track “Godsake” is an absolute masterclass on how sexy Jungle can be. This track will have you feeling like everything IS gonna be alright. Take a deep breath, count to four and let it out because CURSXR has your back. The man has such mastery over sounds that he is able to seamlessly jump between Jungle and 160 styles. “23 Til Infinity” is no exception. The soulful keys have us feeling alright. Close your eyes and feel the good vibrations radiating from this record. “Love For Me” has a classic Chicago feel to it with its tasteful sample selection and bounce. Diva vocals, sexy keys, and a 4x4 beat is gonna shake up any dance it gets rinsed at. We close this journey out with the very tastefully nuanced “Artless”, a jazzy little number with rolling 808’s and high energy keys. A moody track that is as groovy as it is busy. CURSXR truly challenges the listener to footwork while scratching their chin. Full of jazz samples, booming 808’s, and some of the finest jungle breaks he could find, this release pulls from Chicago’s rich musical heritage and offers it back to you in a refreshing manner.

“QL2 is Faster than You” are 6 tracks of ener-getic juke, deep bass, rhythm cutted samples and celluloid atmospheres, that penetrates and rumbles in the rib cage. Three first experi- mental songs, and three final juke bangers: “fast is better than slow” is said in a song, this moto is followed by the kick on every track in the album. "Everything is About Me" we will find the classic sound of padded Rhodes, digital toms, mysterious and enveloping sam- pled vocals. "Heavee Floor" is experimenta- tion, inverted noise textures. "Slow Tachyon" is a synthesized footwork exercise, on board a synth lead without brake, that mourns due to a soft glide and an acid resonance that increa- ses until ending in a rave, Braqueberry style. 
"Theorema of Acceleration" as an interlude, we enter the acceleration lane of the Nascar speedway, smoky car skids and subwoofers, hectic percussions on the asphalt. "Take Me Hiiigher" transports us to the classic Iberian juke sound of BSN Pose, directly from record store, still dust in the record cookie, overactive warmth. The dessert: "Foot Foot Foot Foot Head" similar production style of juke geniuses such as Traxxman, a peculiar collage of cine- matic semblance speckled by a cowbell, all this led by a rhythm with a strong influence from the capital of the state of Illinois. An excellent job of the Spanish producer QL2 "Qleeph” for the reference number 14 of the label that is building the juke scene in Spain.
