 My first sense of rhythm came from Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, and John Prine, mixed with golden oldies, 60s and 70s classic rock, and the high-voltage edge of 80s pop, rock, and metal. The 90s opened the door to hip-hop and R&B, stretching my ear for cadence, groove, and wordplay. From there I fell into classical, opera, jazz, folk, country, and rhythm & blues — anything honest enough to hit you in the chest.  Rhythm and tone have always come easy. Music doesn’t feel like something I invent so much as something I remember.

For me, music is more than art. It’s medicine — and medicine, at its best, is a kind of magic. Inside that magic is connection: to ourselves, to each other, and to the stories we’re still learning how to tell. Every beat, every voice, every shared vibration is a small celebration of being alive.

My path now is about rediscovery — fusing roots and future, wilderness and wire, human heart and digital soul — chasing sounds that don’t just move a crowd, but heal, light a fire, and leave something real behind.
