I love this! I absolutely love the simplicity of it, I love the sound of bells though, so I'm biased :p It's so innocent and sweet, and incorporates the Guild Wars theme and Tix and Tox's theme so well <3 It's a wonderful tune for this holiday <3

In addition to the being able to play these pieces in the Bell Choir activity, there is a small group of citizens that occasionally bring some musical cheer to Lion's Arch, so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

Piece 1: Wintersday Is Here

Maclaine Diemer: This was originally intended to be a new song for Maklain the Minstrel to "entertain" the citizens of Lion's Arch with. I wasn't able to finish the lyrics in time, so I decided to have the roving bell choir carollers play it instead. For any enterprising fans who want to turn it into a proper song, the lyrics start like this:

Lena Chappelle: One of the main challenges in writing music for the Bell Choir activity was writing not only music that sounds good, but has a certain difficulty associated with it. I was able to achieve this by concentrating more on simple harmonic movement for the easier pieces, and a more rhythmic melodic approach with the harder ones. The other challenge, of course, was sticking to a single modal scale. Utilizing this scale allowed me to not only arrange classic Guild Wars themes, but write new ones that felt appropriately wintery.
