We met while attending the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival in Maine and got married in 2012. While we have mostly worked separately as musicians, over the years we've also performed together many times as a classical duo. In 2014, on a whim, we recorded covers of two pop songs (Shakira's Empire and John Legend's All of Me) and released them on YouTube. After a few days of only our moms viewing the videos, we noticed a sudden spike in views: Shakira had noticed our video and promoted it to her 100 million Facebook fans and 30 million Twitter followers! ("We're loving Brooklyn Duo's piano/cello cover of #Empire! Great work guys." -Shakira.) We couldn't believe the response to our two little videos, and realized we were on to something. Brooklyn Duo was born! 
 
Since those first two videos, we have arranged and recorded many more covers, by artists ranging from Fall Out Boy to Taylor Swift (who coincidentally also tweeted about us, saying our cover of her song Blank Space sounded "...like a song people should walk down the aisle to"!). We have plans for a lot more videos in the near future, too. We now have over 100,000 subscribers and almost 10 million channel views on YouTube, and we're growing faster every day. Thank you to everyone who supports us by listening to our music via YouTube, iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and everywhere else; you are making it possible for us to continue doing what we love, and we couldn't do it without you.
