Hiiro Issiki’ s "Tannins" is a 6-track mini-album that blends immersive ambient, cinematic dance music (CDM), and techno, crafted with minimal repetition to shape an environmental soundscape. Inspired by movie soundtracks and emotional atmospheres, it merges ecstatic expression with meditative stillness, questioning modern society through deep, unshaped sound waves and abrupt noises.

To transform the structured art of “music” into ambiguous particles of memory and space. It is neither “story” nor emotion. It is the sensation of fragments, the memory of reverberations, the minute tremors of the unconscious. In other words, I want to present as a work of art the very sensation of “a faint blur in the silence. Time is not a line but a layer, melody is not will but an accidental stain, and “ to listen” is not to enter into the sound but to be blurred by the sound. I want to scoop up the contemporary “submerged sensation of being flooded with sound.

This release is a journey, a weaving together of fleeting visions from parallel, yet intertwined sonic realms. It ventures boldly through a rich tapestry of sounds and textures, each track born not from rigid intention but from an unrelenting pursuit of the elusive, those shimmering, transient spaces in the soundscape, like the mysterious limbo of Vaalbara. The music unfolded live, forged in real-time with an arsenal of synthesizers. In these moments, delicate interactions gave way to sudden storms of chaotic experimentation, the machines pushed beyond their thresholds, revealing hidden voices at the edge of collapse. This album is more than a collection of tracks, it’s an open invitation. Step inside, and perhaps you’ll find yourself tapping into the same emotional landscapes that Ruben traversed while creating it: wonder, vulnerability, and the thrill of discovery in the unknown.

This album emerges from the rediscovery of an accordion following the loss of a close relativean instrument that had been a constant companion throughout their life, weaving itself into the fabric of childhood memory. At its core lies the recognition that both human and accordion share the same essential act: breathing. 

The accordion becomes a meditation on mortality and memory, its bellows expanding and contracting like "lungs", its air valve releasing pure breath without melody—the raw pneumatic essence of life itself. Every sound originates from this single instrument, largely unprocessed, preserving the intimate relationship between human touch and mechanical response. 

It’s an investigation of how an instrument can hold the memory of hands that no longer play it. The mechanical whispers, the subtle articulations of metal and leather and wood become a language of remembrance, breathed rather than spoken.

Arigto is an experimental composition project formed by Noah Haußmann and Sebastian Stauß, based in Berlin and Leipzig. They have released three EPs so far and three full-lengths: ’unseen untold forgotten’ which came out on Noisia’s Division label, ’Pretense’ released in 2021, and the most recent one ’Lukuss’ released in 2024. Additionally, they have had appearances on the Berlin-based imprint 7K!, Osaka-based Depth of Decay, and evo-natura.

I’m still learning the basics of BL, exploring the possibilities of other DAWs, and finding confidence in the physical recording setup and DAW—without losing the emotional and creative process of transmuting memories, lessons, and feelings into music
