Accordion, Lap Steel (experimenting with the Certano Benders  I installed), E-recorder/flute midi linked to English Horn voicing, and OddGrooves 5/4 midi drum tracks. Stepping out side what is usually done musically with an accordion.

Feuding Fusion

“Folding Light” moves like the bellows of an accordion — breathing in and out, holding light before it fades. Intimate female vocals follow that pulse, fragile and fluid, as if folding a moment into memory. The track is part of the upcoming BC25 album Unearthed, Pt. 2, releasing on November 7 — shared here as a demo version.

L'effettu di l'amuri V.2

Aggressive, raw, hardcore music — pure sonic dirt, pounding and relentless like a factory conveyor. Performed with contrabass, cello, accordion, and choir. This music was composed especially for the theatrical production Ulenspiegel. The premiere took place on August 9, 2023, at TR Warszawa as part of the Week of Belarusian Theatre (Tydzień Teatru Białoruskiego w TR Warszawa).

Barbonus is a German lyricist who treats songwriting as a form of literature. His tracks begin with words – fragments of prose, quiet observations, poetic disruptions – and build outward into minimalist soundscapes.

Instead of writing hits, Barbonus writes moments. His lyrics don’t chase hooks; they linger, reveal, suggest. Framed by gentle synths and indie-flavored textures, his work explores memory, digital disconnection, and the beauty of unfinished thoughts.

Beyond his solo work, Barbonus moves between several constellations:
• with Vela Sorell he forms the duo BC25, exploring fragile songs of memory and breath.
• with Klarstein.rocks he releases playful Country-inspired tracks and writes German lyrics in the ironic spirit of the NDW.
• in his archive work, he reconstructs cassette recordings from the 1990s, recovering fragments from a rehearsal basement.

With growing attention from international blogs describing his sound as “electronica with heart” and “a softer, more introspective space,” Barbonus positions himself less as a performer and more as a narrator. A voice at the edge of the frame, crafting scenes in words before sound enters the room.

For him, music is not the message – it’s the carrier wave.

Luca Battista nasce a Campobasso il 5 giugno 1992. Vive a Sepino, dove la natura incontaminata e la salubrità dei luoghi propiziano ancor di più una già innata passione per la musica. Infatti Luca, da quando aveva 4 anni, inizia a suonare l’organetto con alcuni maestri privati; una passione che gli trasmette suo nonno, il quale già era noto alle cronache locali per la sua bravura. Ma l’amore per la musica, scritto nel suo dna, non basta; così sin dalla prima adolescenza la tecnica va a raffinare la sua predisposizione: i maestri di musica notano subito la sua bravura. Continua successivamente gli studi da autodidatta, insegnando ad allievi che, come lui, ottengono soddisfazioni non indifferenti, classificandosi ai primi posti di varie competizioni. Centrale nella sua formazione artistica è il rapporto con il maestro Antonio Colagiovanni, grazie al quale si avvicina al mondo del piano e della tastiera elettronica, senza mai tralasciare l’organetto, prima il 2 bassi, poi l’8 bassi (fisarmonica diatonica). Si mette così alla prova in concorsi di tastiera in cui si classifica primo assoluto. Nel 2013 vince il 1° premio al concorso nazionale di fisarmonica diatonica a Serre (Salerno) con 98/100 punti, categoria D. L’anno successivo, al concorso nazionale di organetto di Montesano sulla Marcellana, conquista il primo premio con 97/100. Nel 2015 alla sua carriera già ricca di successi, aggiunge l’incisione del suo primo cd, seguito sempre dal maestro Colagiovanni. Si tratta di canzoni disco mix, fra cui ci sono brani di musica classica arrangiati in versione dance. Per il futuro numerosi sono i progetti, oltre ad altri cd, insegnamento e serate di intrattenimento … Il segreto del suo successo? Forse la capacità di saper coniugare il folk, la tradizione, il disco mix, l’etnica e così via, in un insieme di voli pindarici da un genere all’altro. Uno stile poliedrico, capace di tener insieme vecchie e nuove generazioni.
