Creating songs that combine tales of unearthly forces, with love poems for the end of the world, FLYING PENGUINS have returned in 2020 with their usual knack for lyrical storytelling and darkly-tinged pop melodies.

‘Serpent's Tongue’, leading single and long-time live set favourite, has been reworked to bring out its deeper textures and honeyed resonance. B-side ‘Fallout With Me’, eerily written and recorded pre-COVID, is a duet love ballad set after the nuclear apocalypse.

Hatching their existence in the wet West of Scotland in 2012, the Penguins have organised all things from collaborative gigs and residencies, to tours of foreign festivals and community music events. The band released their first album 'Jump Over Your Shadow' in 2014. 

Their second EP 'Bodies & Artefacts' was released in October 2019 at The Glad Cafe, Glasgow. With support from local favourites The Girl Who Cried Wolf + Zoë Bestel.
