Better late than rushed, right...?

This song has such a great melody, who knew flipping Zelda's theme backwards would make something so good? It had it's challenges, mainly that it's in 3/4 and that makes it harder to slap but I think I managed! I chose instrumentation designed to be a balanced mix of symphonic and electronic to keep the original epic feel. I played around with tempos a lot this time around too which made for some dramatic effects. This game was great on the Wii, and this theme really stuck in my head since then. A remix of a remix? Can he do that?! Oh yes, it's been a while since this gem of a remix. Dark World was my second remix ever actually, and still by far my most popular. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised it's done so well. It wasn't my best work in my opinion and it's quite dated now! It's been 8 years, and now that I'm going to VGMCon (Oops, All Zelda!) I thought it was about time to give it a little more love. While I was making this I actually impressed myself with how many ideas I still like from back then. It was rough around the edges, but it really had some great moments. I wanted to speed it up a little, 128 bpm really let's the complextro genre shine I think. I also wanted more variation in the track, because the old one was a little repetitive. This redux takes you on a wild journey, and I'm excited for everyone to hear it! Thank U all for supporting me over all these years. I'm gonna keep going as long as I can!

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild - Guardian Battle (Remix)

Gemini Rising is the new band project of Fiora Cutler, Lester Mendez and Marco Niemerski. The trio met in LA and felt instant chemistry, bonding over their love for 80s synth pop. Over a 12 month period split between Berlin and Los Angeles they created a full album that can be best described as retro-futuristic pop music. The emotive synth pop songwriting combined with an updated production vision on 80's new wave reminds you of something familiar while introducing you to something infectious and fresh at the same time. 

Releasing their first debut EP on June 9th, Gemini Rising will play School Night on June 19th, with their album to follow later in the year.
