Little solo recording of my recent set for Drift State vol. 1 at @gearyavewarehouseproject! Tried something crazy here, started at 129 BPM after transitioning from the previous @djpersis, brought down to 125 later in the set and had 3 decks in the mix at all times. Hope you enjoy! :)

ARJ (IR) @ Geary Avenue Warehouse for Drift State vol. 1

Sashy has been immersed in electronic music since childhood but fully embraced DJing and music production later in life. Originally from Kyiv, she moved to Toronto in her early twenties, where her journey flourished, enriched by her background in piano, dance, and songwriting.

During the pandemic, she pursued her DJing passion and quickly gained recognition on global radio stations like Ibiza Stardust, Mix365, and Remix Radiofy. Her SoundCloud mixes highlight her favorite genres—Afro House, Progressive House, Melodic House/Techno, and Organic House—featuring the latest tracks in electronic music. Beyond the decks, Sashy is a full-time corporate event planner dedicated to empowering women in the industry and inspiring others to follow their passions.

Born in Toronto with Iranian roots, ARJ (IR) is an emerging DJ and producer blending progressive and organic house with subtle Middle Eastern textures. Growing up surrounded by house and electronic music, ARJ’s musical foundation was shaped by both traditional Persian sounds and the pulse of global electronic music. 

He is also the founder of Drift State, a collective of friends that aims to promote house music in Toronto's ever-growing music scene with the specific aim to bring progressive house and deep progressive house to light by showcasing guest mixes from aspiring artists around the globe. 

Now making waves in Toronto’s underground scene, he continues to refine his artistry through local sets and studio releases that resonate with a growing, passionate audience. Inspired by the likes of Hernan Cattáneo, Sebastien Leger, Guy J, John Cosani and more, his sound bridges cultural influences with a deep, emotive energy.
