That Mathias Kaden definitely knows how to put together a complete mix-cd, is clearly on display for the full-blooded DJ and house enthusiast with the 2011 compilation of the Groove CD number 40. For the 14th Watergate Compilation he bounds an edition with a key set on CD with timeless releases and evergreen classics united. These function just the same in the club on the banks of the Spree just as they would anywhere. Not least of all to thank are the three exclusive and unreleased tracks from Rodriguez Jr., Marco Resmann and Christian Burkhardt. These are finally available on vinyl and can be acquired via Freude Am Tanzen. Made for the club or the best festivals and open-airs of the summer. House without compromise and danceable happiness in a four x four gallop. In short, energizing and yet elegant just like the sets from Mathias Kaden himself.

Dass Mathias Kaden durchaus weiß, wie eine gelungene Mix-CD auszusehen hat, stellte der Vollblut-DJ und House-Enthusiast bereits 2011 bei der Zusammenstellung der Groove-CD Nummer 40 unter Beweis. Off the back of a whirlwind 2015 including the launch of their new label ‘Hommage’, Monkey Safari gear up to take the dance scene by storm with the release of their new EP ‘On’. The self-entitled release showcases the German act’s mixture of hip-hop and new wave influences embedded in 9-10 minute climactic and euphoric footprints that have so often epitomized the acts sound throughout their short career. Remixes by legendary techno producer ‘Paco Osuna’ and ‘Chloé’ have done no harm in aiding the producers growing stature on the global stage whilst helping their break into new scenes and demographics not yet familiar with their uplifting and melodic sound.

The EP containing two original tracks ‘On’ and ‘Matters’ utters influences taken from the act at a young and formative age. Sven and Lars unique connection was established as teens in their hometown of ‘Halle’ where the duo’s paradox of tastes complimented one another’s and has come to define the nature of their productions. Agreeing to start a youth fueled club night that exhibited the duo’s love for indie/alternative and electronica in two separate rooms, the venture became the catalyst for the pair’s amalgamation in song-writing and thus, Monkey Safari was born. A track that mirrors these tastes exceptionally is the single ‘On’, a perfect blend of steady paced house with alternate influenced vocals creating a brooding and haunting piece of music. The duos cleverly crafted layering of the track gives the vocals enough room to breathe whilst keeping the dance-fueled tempo with airy and spacious percussion. The second track ‘Matters’ focuses more on techno and trance-like elements with delayed and static analogue sounds coating the duo’s stereotypical atmospheric and surging psalm. The track is much more in-tune with the acts dance influences with no inclusion of any vocals, dedicating all attention to the core ingredients of percussion, bass and keys.

The duo’s rapid growth in recognition is best shown through Paco Osuna’s monstrous remix of ‘On’ with a typical elongated build, euphoric drop and crunching percussion that will be certain to be a stand out track on dance floors around the globe. Underground French artist Chloé’s remix of ‘Matters’ is reminiscent of the duo’s new wave motives with a perfect collage of echoed guitar samples and a grooved bass lick epitomizing the French house sound. Both remixes are equally as talented and enjoyable as the originals and will no doubt help flourish the acts credibility and respect going in to 2016.

Starting really 80’s like, getting uplifted with a plastic clap and then wonderful melodies: We say welcome Vonda7 on Einmusika. With “Behind The Seven Mountains“ she is bringing a really diverse EP. “Holyberg“ is unique and classy, while “Me & You Untill The End“ is bringing some shaky elements combined with dreamy sounds and hypnotic vocals. “In My Dream“ is more minimalistic and clubby. A real summer festival tune.

Rowee (@roweemood) is the new project from the celebrated Italian DJ and producer Leonardo Gonnelli (@leonardogonnelli), here dropping four fresh tracks on Steve Bug's Audiomatique label. The Egypt EP sets out its game plan early with the title track - a heads down tech-house slayer that is both deep and driving, and the perfect home for the sublime vocals of Forrest. 

Kocleo’s (@kocleo) remix of Egypt is even deeper, pushing the vocals right into the front, and supplying a trippy, arpeggiated bass line for the track to hang off.

The EP also features a collaboration with fellow Italian (now based in the US) Simon Wish (@simon-wish), whose 'Art Revolution' is a deep bomb containing a spoken word vocal with a message.

'Clock' is the closing track here, and again proves the prowess of Rowee at the mixing desk - the track is a tightly constructed groover - packed full of energy and the perfect track to drop on a tiring dancefloor.

Gabriel Ananda Presents Soulful Techno 03 - Gabriel Ananda and Tiger Rose

Iketa came to my attention last year, and the more I delved into his work, the more amazing music I discovered. So when the chance came along to remix something, I chose his track Burn, which I love, and tried to put my own interpretation on it. The original was already so close to perfection melodically, that I found I couldn't do a lot to improve it. So instead I focused on trying to enhance what was already there, using contrasting sections of soundscapes and detailed sparse beats, and adding builds of saturation to exaggerate each melodic element. I found it was a really nice remix to work on, I hope you like it!

With his sincere charm and melodic tunes Arjuna brings a smile to the Dutch melodic house and techno scene. Like no other he knows how to stow a particular feel out of the speakers, seeping in your ears and unleashing emotions with his own distinctive melodic and energetic style. His productions move on the borders of deep house and tech-house, saturated with intense synths and melancholic storytelling melodies. Dark electronic elements get alternated with warm, dreamy sentiments, inciting people to both listen with their eyes closed and dance euphorically.
