Iam still in love with this weekend. Saturday our own https://soundcloud.com/afterhour-sounds event at https://soundcloud.com/klunkerkranich and sunday at the beloved gART.n place. Perfect weather, supberb crowd and atmosphere there. And a sound system that blows your mind away. A perfect combination to serve you my definition of downtempo. 

I opened the open air, so I had the opportunity to play some of my beloved melodic and hypnotic downtempo tracks, which I usualy like to play in podcasts only. After some time I changed the mood a little bit and added more bounce and energy to the floor but still kept the hypnotic atmosphere there. Plus moved the BPM step by step up... until I ended at 110 bpm, what https://soundcloud.com/haensenundgretel asked me for :D

I think it worked out perfectly. This idea of a symbiosis between the crowd and a dj is something what I felt there during my set and especially at the end. And Iam so gratefull for that. Especially because I reg. dont play downtempo sets more as you maybee know. Maybee I should overthink that point of view. Or https://soundcloud.com/maria-theresia-von-eberg? ;)

"the latin word "alucinari" means mind-wandering" - not that I know latin, I just copied it down. but fundamentally, that's what this set is about. to stumble hypnotically forward, starting in the urban space and then somehow trying to get to a place where we are unfamiliar and can no longer understand anyone. the light changes, the green becomes richer, the clouds move up the mountain, and we become calmer. escaped from the hustle and bustle,
we have found the velvet."

"das lateinische wort alucinari bedeutet „im geiste wandern“ - nicht dass ich latein könnte, ich habe das bloß abgeschrieben. aber im grunde geht es in diesem set genau darum. hypnotisch nach vorne stolpern, beginnend im städtischen raum und dann irgendwie versuchen dahin zu kommen, wo wir uns nicht auskennen und niemanden mehr verstehen. das licht verändert sich, das grün wird satter, die wolken schieben sich den berg hinauf und wir werden ruhiger.

Zeit ist lang und Raum ist groß, viel Spiel sich zu verpassen. Dennoch: Manchmal passt's halt einfach. Um so schöner eben, dass nicht nur die Ausgangslänge schön statt schief ist: @neoBeo sonst zwischen Fusion, Sisyphos und Katerschmaus unterwegs, heute mit Zeit und Raum im Montagskontinuum. Mit custom Edits, eigenem Instrument und Vocal Support von Andy Snatch.

One year ago our crew had a chance to reunite with our Berlin based member @claus-fussek and bring to life a new project called "Baila Lentamente". This joint venture of Claus, Heimlich Knüller and Mach Mal Langsam Collective was started to decelerate the Black Floor of @wilderenate. This unforgettable night, full of Audio-visual entertainment was a firework of joy and happiness! 

Actually, the whole night was recorded but the SD-Card disappeared mysteriously. Some days ago, exactly to the anniversary of the event we found the recordings again.

Thanks to this marvelous occasion we want to reactivate our MIX-Series "MUY APRECIADO (Mixed by our friends)" and share with you two wonderful hours of slow down grooves by our Hero for All Times Mr.@heimlich-muller. Enjoy the show!

Have you ever wondered how many subgenres there have been in our scene since 2010? 5, 10 or 20? Do you remember when there were no pure downtempo productions? It felt like an eternity looking for downpitchable songs that also fitted together stylistically, didn't it? ...
I'm a real fan of so many different subgenres of electronic music – I could listen to them all day! And every now and then, I like to mix things up and try something new. At the end, I am thrilled to say that I understand and feel 'arkadiusz' more as a music project! Especially during podcast collaborations I try something new and special. 

As a performing club DJ I am focused on two amazing directions: Slow and fast, or as I like to say: Hypnodream and Hypnodance!

🐌 = slow (80-115 BPM) = Hypnodream - hypnotic & melancholic & deep downtempo
🚀 = fast (115-125 BPM) = Hypnodance - cool bouncetempo meets disco & techhouse
