Arkajo returns to his self-titled imprint this September for its third release, featuring two originals and remixes from Forest Drive West and Ebende. Gothenburg, Sweden’s Arkajo has been releasing his contemporary twist on House, Techno and Leftfield Electronica for the past five years under this guise as well as Genius Of Time, a collaborative project alongside fellow Swedish artist Dorisburg. Here
he returns to the Arkajo imprint following on from his and Dorisburg’s ‘Void Pyramid’ back in May 2019.

‘Truth’ leads the release and pieces together Arkajo’s signature tribal tinged, off-kilter percussion with heavy doses of shattering subs, modulating synth work and hypnotic vocal chants. Livity Sound regular Forest Drive West then steps in remix duties, twisting ‘Truth’ into a murky, subtly unfurling eight minutes via cavernous reverbs, resonant
percussion, sweeping bass tones and intricate processing of the original parts.

The second original from Arkajo opens the b-side, entitled ‘Earth’ and retaining a similar aesthetic the Swedish artist fuses bumpy broken drums with thunderous subs, bubbling echoes and menacing pads. Aniara artist Ebende then wraps up the release, switching
things up to a more classic house feel courtesy of a winding Hammond organ hook, shuffled drums and airy chord sequences.

When Aljoscha's father placed cassettes of jungle, ambient and drum'n'bass in the hands of his seven-year-old son, he had no idea that he had just passed on to him the soundtrack of his life.

This heritage of multiple textures has been transformed into multiple aliases, including AJO, a character who transcends the boundaries of genres and time.

Signed to labels such as Electric Shapes and Mana Abundance, AJO invokes tribal elements and inter-astral electronic sounds. A primitive, almost animal quest dances between the German producer's synthesizers.

His new album, ‘God Is A Single Infinite Painting That Has No Frame’, adds to his psychedelic ambient and EBM-tinged electrooid explorations. Four remixes by YADÜ, La Serpiente, HyperLili and Théo Muller add an even more contemplative dimension to this opus, released on Ethos Records.

Amplio Espectro is a Buenos Aires-based label curated by Carolina Stegmayer and Ismael Pinkler, whose entanglement of their names and personal/professional lives gave birth to the duo Carisma. They successfully amassed a true international dream team of collaborators for their forthcoming release: Cornelius Doctor (France), Andrea Paz (Chile), Bryan Kessler (Germany), Aristidez (Peru), Kodemul (Mexico) and Kamila Govorcin (Chile), each one of them taking us on a remix trip adding their hyper-personal touches to two Carisma's tracks: “En tus Sueños” and “Fracciones”.

The track we chose to premiere brings Aristidez delivering a trippy and groovy interpretation of “Fracciones”. The Peruvian artist, who rocked the world with his 2018 release on the almighty Calypso Records, flirts this time with percussive breakbeats and melodic synth layers, providing a cosmic atmosphere, but with his traditional Latin sonority. The result: A curious concoction that enriches the release of the charismatic Argentinian duo.
