PJ: Tell us about this mix & where you want it to take people. 
I: this mix is literally so free form that i ended up deleting my setlist for this mix before recording it lol. this mix represents a blur or a feeling of continuous blurring in potential utopia (re: Fred Moten and José Muñoz). everything mashes into each other in continual acknowledgment of rhythm and reaching for bliss. as a live mix featuring gqom, kuduro, jersey club, jungle, footwork, and techno, this is something i would play at one of the no str8s x soft raves and i wanted to archive that chaotic feeling of frenzy that's so palpable when a bunch of queer and trans cuties rage together. but also through this mix, i want the world to know that i'm in my own lane. i'd love for others to be able to empathise with that feeling while listening
PJ: Florida’s been on the news a lot lately, mostly because of how the virus is spreading in your state right now. Also, the constant news of police violence and violence against Black and brown trans folks don’t help. How are you staying balanced through this difficult time?
I: it's been really interesting seeing this amount of fascist violence manifest so viciously through the pandemic and state suppression. living through this time period is making me more appreciative of the connections i've formed while also learning to listen more intentionally, so i've been minding my business and assisting folks URL–since it's difficult for me to leave home atm. as of lately, i've been reading anti-colonial poetry and Sufi poetry, specifically Glissant and Rumi, while also trying to finally get around to finishing "Captive Genders" which investigates the causes and effects of mass incarceration for Black trans folks and other trans folks of color. i've also been making time to be present with myself and meditate more. sometimes i feel like the most i can do is be gentle with myself in times of great emotional distress for the earth, so i've been making serious attempts to nourish myself in order to help nourish others.
PJ: Tell us about soft collective! What’s the response been like and what do you think the significance of that work is in a place like central Florida? 
I: soft collective is comprised of four members including me and my friends GAY-Z, Bounce Kisses, and Fullmetal :) we came together at my apartment a little more than a year ago after all three friends expressed interested in trying to revive the nightlife scene in central florida! it was a little difficult finding a venue in orlando bc i personally feel like there's a lot of hesitation in regards to participating in nightlife down here bc of Pulse and also lack of transportation. from my experience, most ppl settle for the regular gay clubs or house parties so soft collective started collaborating w my friends in the no str8s collective two hours away in gainesville to throw raves which are super fun and d.i.y! throwing parties with my friends is all really *soft* thinking about it bc soft collective encompasses so much and the more ppl help w organising the more fun the parties feel. for me, soft is a feeling that is indescribable but always welcomed. it's really amazing being able to intentionally create a space where we prioritise lgbtq bipoc while making straight men pay a lot more for entry and then having that money go straight to performers and curators! not really sure what the future looks like for us, but i feel at ease knowing i'm able to plan for that future as part of a collective.
PJ: Beyoncé wants you to remix one of her songs of your choosing! Which one are you picking and why? 
I: a really hard 165-170bpm jungle edit of XO would be a serve... simple as that!   
PJ: Where can people send you or a cause you love $?
I: i'd love for ppl to donate to a local org in Orlando called the Zebra Coalition that supports LGBTQ youth in the area: zebrayouth.org/donate but also if anyone wants to send some coin my way my cashapp is $mhammad777 :)
