'It's been a busy few months for the FKOF Records team. We've got our next two physical releases done and dusted (which'll take us to the end of 2021) and we're working our way through a schedule of digital EPs that are reaffirming our love for the 140bpm sound. 'FKOFd051 officially welcomes another new artist to the FKOF family, but it's one we've worked with quite extensively over the years. Through a variety of aliases, we've always known Arkham Sound (fka nights) has a special something, and we're pretty sure - once you've listened to the EP - you'll know what we mean. Having worked with an impressive roster of labels like Sentry Records, Badman Studios and Sub Audio, we're delighted to welcome Lukasz to FKOF. Four tracks on the paid release, plus a free download via Bandcamp, and they're all serious weight.

'Our fifty-first digital release opens with the dark and moody 'Storm Brand', all twisted  synths and tight percussion. Next up, the industrial 'Cosmic Horror' does what you'd expect it to; an almost hip-hop vibe but with a nightmarish flip. 'Watcher's Eye' was one of the first tunes that caught our ear with its beats, bass and space flow. It's a roller. Closing out the EP is 'Trenches'; a FKOF Sessions regular, a tune that always seems to get drawn for. It's full of wicked atmospheres, and is a great example of why we've signed the producer. The free download, 'Harbinger', takes things down a level and is the most stripped back and meditative inclusion on the EP. Absolute eyes down business! 

'Coupled with amazing artwork from Turkish artist Lal Yetki, this EP with Arkham Sound sets the tone with what we've got coming over the next six months. It's been a pleasure working with Lukasz on this release and we know you'll enjoy the tunes as much as we do!'

Hailing from the ATL, and reppin' the 1155 crew, man like Parrotice comes correct with this spooked out tune entitled "Cycles". We are really stoked to feature his unique & forward-thinking sound, and are truly astonished at how much quality music he has cranked out over the years. This tune carries a very spacious and gripping vibe, equipped with punishing sub-movement, intricate percussive elements, hair-raising atmospheres, and very fluid progression throughout. Parrotice - Cycles [ÅẸ Free DL]

"Starting 2020 off with a bang we welcome back a familiar face with his 5th appearance on the label, making longtime friend Imanzi the most featured artist on Simply Deep. SD022 also sees the addition of Kontent & Pharma to the label, both established artists in their own right.

The title track 'Fidget Dub' by Imanzi & Kontent has been a staple in Simply Deep sets for the latter half of 2019, finding a home in 100% of our radio shows and mixes. With heavy Grime & Dubstep influences this track would find a home in most 140 sets!

The second track 'Only Hope' is a solo track from the 140 wizard Imanzi. Using more of a sub-low approach and rolling percussion on this one, Imanzi still provides enough dynamism to shake your ribcage through any Sound System.

Austria based artist Pharma steps up with a massive remix of 'Fidget Dub'. He takes more of a melodic route with his remix, rearranging the percussion & bass stems whilst adding his own flute patterns for a moodier take on the original.
