Whether you find her deeply engrossed in her modular system, performing live at Berghain as a part of the Leisure System crew, or working behind the counter at the legendary Berlin synth shop SchneidersLaden, her profound knowledge and passion for translating her external and internal worlds into sonic anomalies permeate throughout everything she does. 

Versatility and virtuosity are the common threads woven into her productions, such as her recent album with Unrush founder Mareena Altas Der Gedanken on Muzan Editions. The same can be said for her mix here, which features everything from traditional southern Laotian music to øjeRum and Steve Roach. As a close friend and collaborator of Unrush, her contribution is long overdue. We couldn't conceive of a better artist to bring us into the warmer months with a glimmer of hope and a glimpse into the infinite...

In the twelfth episode of the #Sonogramma podcast from the Simphonic Silence Inside label, the curator of the podcast, Ilia Symphocat presents a compilation made up of songs previously released on the SSI label. A bright palette of spatial electronics and deep drone will open doors to the sound world of the Russian label, shimmering with shades of the experimental scene of the post-Soviet space.

The podcast features compositions by music projects from Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg, Anapa, Rostov-on-Don, Minsk, Odessa, Krivoy Rog and Greece. I’m really happy to share the next Deep Mind Music today, from my friend Adam Pits. A calming and serene entry, listening to this mix feels like floating on your back in a cool lake on a hot day. A quenching refreshment for a frazzled mind 🩵

The mix wanders gently through slowly morphing landscapes. The soft twitter of birdsong brings us to a dusk dappled forest, warm drones coaxing us further inwards in a lackadaisical swirl. Toward the end of the mix we are uplifted by luminescent arpeggios which draw rainbow trails through the sky above 🍃☀️🌿

I sense in Adam’s selections and musical approach a shared sensitivity to the innate emotive undertones of music, as well as sounds which have an inherent depth and vitality to them. I hope you enjoy listening to this meditative mix as much as I have 🪶

Such is the kind of stimulating, autumn-mirrored imagery offered up by our next renowned guest, Zadig. While known primarily for his distinguished brand of dubby, Detroit-tinged techno on his label Construct Re-Form, anyone who reduces him to this simply has not been listening. His recent record for the Ukrainian imprint Rhythm Büro exemplifies his many facets, with refined ambient, synth, and downtempo passages lulling one into ecstatic states. It's this kind of diversity we seek, and it's an honor to have him contribute to UNRUSH. So put on some headphones, kick around some leaves, and enjoy the last golden rays of semi-warm days before the darkness subsumes us.

The Chaos Computer Club is Germany's primary source for futuristic and alternative thinking since the 80s. Each year between Christmas and New Year's Eve, this association gathers hackers from all over the galaxy for a huge congress. Under the given conditions, the convention had to move to an online exile for the 2020 edition: The "Remote Chaos Experience" (RC3). Music and all kinds of arts are an integral part of these conventions - this set is one of the contributions to the four-day streaming marathon that soundtracked the RC3 (27 - 30th of December, 2020).
