Ill DJ Chris B is a native of Orlando Florida who produces and mixes breakbeat music. Having an opportunity to attend legendary dance clubs in Orlando during the early 90's, like The Edge, Firestone, Ultra Violet, Infinity (Cyber Zone), The Blue Room, Icon, Alpha Bar, Eli's Crib, Thee Grotto, and The Bank (Fusion), along with numerous other clubs in Orlando and throughout the United States, it is easy to see where he gets his influence of electronic music from. Wherever he goes you can be sure that he's droppin' nothing but the best.

In promotion with his US tour last year, Martin Flex's killer mix hit it big on the RIPEcast.  In 2016, Martin is touring the US once more, this time with Mutantbreakz, and we thought it would be fitting to release another exclusive mix on the Space Cowboys' RIPEcast.  

Martin Flex (aka PuRe SX), is one of UK’s finest purveyors of booty breaks, and label boss of several well-known breaks imprints including Hot Cakes, Rat Records and Let's Go! Recordings. He knows how to drop the 808 boom and send the bodies flying around the room. Blasting out of the thriving UK underground since 2008, he currently DJs all over the world from Florida to Spain, Russia to London and beyond.  He will be touring the US 19th February to 24th March.

Famous for low end terrorism in the form of his smash hits 212 Booty and Link Up alongside Deekline, as well as his recent bangers Sunglasses and Lift off the Roof, PuRe SX has picked up support for his music from all the top names on the scene, from Deekline to Stanton Warriors, Ed Solo to Lady Waks and Krafty Kuts to the Freestylers. This joint mix originated from a conversation we had about how different dance music was when we both started out as DJs. Not better or worse; just different. Genres didn't mean much. No elevated stages. People danced with little concept of who was behind the decks.

We wanted to recapture some of that free-flowing vibe. We threw some of our old school influences in with the brand new, and maybe took some more stylistic chances than we usually would in a live setting.
