One of the first people Elie Eidelman asked for music from when he founded JackOff Records was Massimiliano Pagliara.
It’s hard not to be a fan.
Now three years later finally it happens with Massi’s project with production partner ROTCIV under the name ‘The Rimshooters’.

This EP consists of two original trax. First one is titled ‘Love Lie Love Die’ which is a deep and dark Acid journey.

‘Love Lie Love Die’ is remixed by long time label supporters ‘Dance Disorder’. With a more old school flavor and uplifting Electro vibe, the remix was already tested on leading dancefloors in Europe with massive response.

‘Padorama’ was born out of a Jam that Massimiliano did with nd_baumecker back in the day, and re-worked by ‘The Rimshooters’ to this Dance Floor killer it is today.

Brazilian producer and one half of "The Rimshooters" ROTCIV lays down 3 complex yet dancefloor oriented house tracks. "Old Good Luvin'" is a soulful house hymn that pays tribute to synth driven early italo and classic chicago house. ROTCIV intertwines the different styles to create his very own blend of deep house. "Just Take Me Higher" evokes similar feelings but has a slightly darker touch to it. Eerie John Carpenter-esque pads contrast the punchy bassline, eprom drumbeat and organ stabs to create a mood coming straight from an 80s elektro joint.

Bringing together some of the secret weapons that label boss Franz Underwear has had tucked away in his record bag with brand new tracks from the likes of Clap Rules, Bottin and Riders of the Lost Arp this compilation packs a mighty punch with its 22 tracks. 16 of the finest cuts that have been causing damage on the dancefloor will also be released on vinyl alongside the CD and digital release.

Fresh parcel from the Northern European nebula, here. Sombrero Galaxy is Red Light Radio's Tako Reyenga and London artist Jonny Nash. Tako and Jonny run spiritually fraternal labels: the former, Music From Memory; and the latter, Melody as Truth - both ultra-distinctive imprints born out of improvised jams with Suzanne Kraft, Young Marco, and Gigi Masin alongside retrospectives from the likes of Joel Graham and Michael Turtle.

"The Edge of Space" is (as title suggests) an endless flight into the ether: all bubbling arpeggiators, kosmische synths and wide-eyed wonder. Cut from a weekend of sprawling space-jams in Jonny's North London home in 2012, it now finds a home on Second Circle - a sub-imprint of Music From Memory.

Bordello A Parigi is celebrating its fifth anniversary in style with a series of releases. First off there's an EP by rising outfit Younger Than Me from Milan. The duo teamed up with singer Lara Caprotti for their debut release "Honey" which includes an original and an instrumental mix, as well as two remixes by Uabos and Massimiliano Pagliara. The latter is our premiere of the day, an excellent Nu-Disco jam reminiscent of Patrick Cowley's finest moments. N.O.I.A. - Looking For Love (Ajello Version)

As Ajello say:
“The idea for a cover version of N.O.I.A. The Rule To Survive (Looking For Love)was born a couple of years ago – an idea of Alessandro Piatto, younger brother of Davide Piatto, original member of N.O.I.A. As soon as Alessandro proposed it, we asked whether we could have the original tracks but, unfortunately, they have been lost over the years. Immediately his brother Davide brought together the original lineup of N.O.I.A. and locked them up in the studio to record the voice from scratch and some of the synth parts. Our intervention was first on the drums, replacing the original for a more uptempo beat, and then the bassline, shaping it to a more modern sound. The vocals were treated with filters and echoes, and we also added some new guitar parts and synth lines. It was an honour to us, Ajello, to bring to light an Italo-disco classic that has really influenced us and we have put all our efforts to create a version that is timeless, as much as the original. "

‘Majella’ again captures the essence of Italo-Disco with an 8-bit electronica feel, rich synth lines full of depth play off each other, constructing delicate melodic intricacies in the arrangement. A simple yet fitting sturdy 4/4 drum pattern runs throughout allowing ample room for the euphonious elements to take the limelight. The Italian duo apply various production techniques to the sequences such as warbling tremolos, heavy choruses and filter sweeps fabricating a blossoming edginess on the track.

‘Escape From Kyoto’ opens the release, incorporating worldly percussion, a staggering arpeggiated bass hook and trippy lo-fi sonic tones creating a raw energetic movement. Subtle filter-modulation on the atmospheric elements make for a vacillating flow throughout the composition, while 80’s style synthesizers are worked in to the break giving off an effortlessly cool retro vibe. The vintage feel is further brought to fruition by working back in the rugged arp-line in combination with a vocoded spoken-word, further fuelling the old school aesthetic.
