On "Himalayas" Safeword gaze skywards for some cosmic tech-disco inspiration, and "PinBalls" keeps its feet on the ground with some heavy kick drums and straight-up dancefloor soul. Release 34 is a meeting of minds and talent as two of our future faves join forces for the very first time on Herzblut. The French dream-team of Electric Rescue and Maxime Dangles present a new brace of techno gems on the Melomis EP. The release comes hot on the heels of Maxime's, Oralipse ep, which has been heating our floors since July and the pair demonstrate just why they are in such high demand with their exotic genre-crossing techno workouts. Melomis is pure fire. Simple and yet utterly devastating, it's staccato siren riff drills away, filtered and intensified before the earth-shattering drums power in. On the flip its groove all the way as Orlando uses power and poise to generating an impressive helping of funk by matching the the most delicate of bells with raw, weighty beats, bass and breakdown.

Electric Rescue & Maxime Dangles - Melomis (Herzblut Recordings)

Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled ‘Foreign Awake’, a much broodier spacy homage than we’ve yet heard from the pair.

Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, ‘Zero’, which channeled his and the label’s respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they’ve served up something all together different.

Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, ‘Foreign Awake pt.1’ sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Deep, dark and dangerously hypnotic, this is Sawlin & Subjected at their most compelling.

Since a few months of silence Indigo Aera returns with a series of new exiting releases. Kickstarting the new season with one of Parisian's finest: Antigone. Besides being a resident at Parisian's Concrete movement, Antigone is responsible for highly acclaimed releases on Construct Re-form and Ars Mechanica, Children Of Tomorrow and the Concrete label itself.

Antigone's signature sound is a fine blend of soul searching strings on top of cutting edge sci-fi techno rhythms as evidenced by the eerie and spine tingling 'Words Of Silences'. Next, 'Third From The Sun' is a much quicker and more frantic but just as smooth and deep techno cut with celestial pads and a heavenly sense of calm. On the b-side there's a straighter 4x4 remix from label heads Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff that offers plenty of bang for its buck.

Alessandro Diga, better known to his family and friends as Martijn van Dijk, burst on to the international scene in 2010 with the excellent ‘Meltdown’ EP on Eelke Kleijns’ amazing Outside the Box label. It received a great deal of support from the progressive DJ community and made the Beatport top 100. He has gone on to release records on some other exceptional labels like Manual Music, Inlab Recordings, Perspectives and Cinematique, gaining respect from all corners of the dance music elite. Martijn has also been fortunate enough to play a number of high profile festivals and club nights around Europe and it’s fair to say he is certainly on the way up and that trajectory is continued to rise.

Northern Psylight records is situated in Bergen, Norway. The label started out in 2006, and the first release, «Psylight Xplosion», was out in september the same year.
The label started with Ketil Mardal ( aka. Dj Ketil m ) and Flips ( Leif Erik Askeland ) running the label together. Flips and Ketil worked together up to the fourth compilation, Psylight the Night», before Flips decided to pursue other goals. 
Ketil has since then been running the label on his own, still trying to keep the sound the way he and Flips have done previously, and traveling around europe to promote the Northern Psylight sound. 
Another important thing for Northern Psylight records ( NPR ) ha been to release unknown artists that NPR feels deserve the help to be heard. NPR have also released known artists as f.ex. Trold, Ajja and Braincell, and the reason is that they have the sound that NPR like to present. 
«5th Dimension» is the 5th compilation from NPR, and the release is here to show that NPR has not given up! To run a psytrance label is no lucrative business, if any business at all? To do it you need 2 things: A GREAT passion for psytrance and all that it involves, and do not expect to make money. If you don´t have these 2 qualities, you can forget running a psytrance label.
The two mixes that I have put together are different in styles. The first part of the mix is a blend of tracks from earlier releases. It´s a mix focused on night time, and these earlier releases shows that NPR was ahead of it´s time when it came to releasing this kind of psytrance. It´s only in the last few years that people have opened their ears to this style.
The second part of the mix is a more «sit down and listen to mix», all the tracks are from NPR´s latest release : «5th Dimension». The tracks are mixed together from track 01 to 09 straight. Hope you will enjoy both! Bom!

The first single taken from the album is 'Connaissance', a track in which Turzi raps deep into his education years on a neo-kraftwerkian type of atmosphere. Versailles is where he grew up, between religious schools and boy scouts brawls.

Firrst to remix was Arnaud Rebotini under his Black Strobe moniker. Him and Turzi share a Kraftwerk obsession. Whereas Turzi praises 'Computer world', Rebotini shows respect on his remix to the more recent recordings of the German maestros with a clean vocoded voice reminiscent of 'Aerodynamik'. Add his unique heavy-beat touch and you have a killer remix.

Soma are pleased to welcome Vidab Records boss Oliver Deutschmann to the roster as he debuts with the dark & hypnotic ‘Dazed & Confuzed’ EP. Firmly established in the underground, Deutschmann has stood behind his unique brand of 4/4 beats for more than a decade; a permanent fixture at Panorama Bar for over 4 years with his dubby, pushing house vibes, old school drums, intense peaks and driving modern dramatics. Developing a strong signature sound, Oliver translates real emotion and atmosphere into his productions, with bold, crisp and powerful drums, resonant, textural synthlines and a stylish talent for keeping things locked down to hypnotising effect. 
His debut EP on Soma shows his darker edge, expertly opened with ‘Dazed’. A heavy kick drum and deep, rolling sub bass is backed up with a hypnotic synth hook right from the beginning as Deutschmann sets up the listener and dance floor for a proper shakedown. Rising steadily that familiar 909 clap comes in to show that this track means business as it powers through.
The follow up ‘Confuzed’ picks up where Dazed left off. Tough drums kick the track into overdrive straight away as Oliver doesn’t let up on the hypnotic Techno found on the EP’s opener. Pounding drums and tripped out vocal teases its way into the track as a prolonged breakdown keeps the track bubbling until, with brute force, launches relentlessly back in. This is uncompromising Techno at its best.
This is a top EP from a producer who can flawlessly move between styles and who isn’t adverse to showing his darker side.

Oliver Deutschmann - Dazed (Soma 367d)

Arnaud Rebotini is a singer, songwriter, producer and remixer, he has become one of the most emblematic figures in electronic music today, adept at straddling genres, both avant-garde and timeless, and bringing them together. 
For example, his Zend Avesta project (Organique, Universal 2000) married electronic music with a chamber orchestra. 
With his analogue synthesisers, he became a central figure on the scene of new international techno, marking renewed enthusiasm for the use of electronic instruments rather than just computers. His live shows have always been unanimously celebrated (Music Components, Citizen 2008, Someone Give Me Religion, K7 - 2010) and his remixes for pour Depeche Mode, David Guetta, Rammstein, The Rapture, Bloc Party, Acid Washed and Tristesse Contemporaine are as indicative of his sets at the biggest clubs and festivals (playing live or mixing) as his collaboration with the highbrow Groupe de Recherches Musicales, especially with Christian Zanési for their Frontières project.
