Curated by Robert together with Domino and biographer Marcus O’Dair, the double album features disk 1 ‘Ex Machina’, the ideal introduction for the Wyatt novice, compiling tracks from Robert’s entire career to date and acting as a companion to O’Dair’s new biography , also titled ‘Different Every Time’(released by Serpent’s Tail on the 30th of October).   Disk 2 brings together the best of Robert’s collaborations and guest appearances,  or, as Robert has it, ‘benign dictatorships’, including some very special oddities and rarities available here for the very first time

Robert Wyatt - Shipbuilding

Chair of Arts Council England and President of The Royal Television Society Sir Peter Bazalgette joined the Bristol Distinguished Address Series to discuss the crucial role Arts Council England has in developing arts and culture. Through  encouraging interest from the wider public and endeavouring to inspire new talent. He also outlines the significance of the newly formed partnership between UWE and the Arnolfini.

Live at Biddle Brothers March 2015

Grand Openings, a collective that puts together amibiguous happenings and provocative events, asked me to shadow them and create short pieces based on field recordings for them every day during their residency at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Billed by Grand Openings and MoMA as my "Greatest Hits," I collaged, cued, and processed field recordings made at MoMA. Heeding some grumbling musicianly widsom bestowed by my father from years ago, "When I play 'em, they're all hits," I included some other hits big and small I've made over the years. In this continuous excerpt, there is no post-performance processing or editing.

This is a good example of what I sound like live these days.

Talk from Dexter Dalwood - Dalwood was a member of the 1970’s punk band The Cortinas before becoming one of the UK’s most respected painters.

Dalwood’s work uses a collage technique to make painting that talks about the idea of a splintered reality, drawing equally on historical tradition and contemporary cultural and political events.
