Acédie 58 invite des artistes, des auteur•ices, des musicien•nes à tracer les contours de Signal Method, en réponse et en opposition. Iels ont traversé des domaines, entrecroisé des médiums. Mixed media et multitasking ont atteint leur point de fusion.  C’est la réunification. On a mis tous les gestes dans le même sac, on s’est réinventé•es, encore une fois : envoyez l’incipit.

Signal Method #1 - I am the curve around what isn’t

Model City, a mix named after Donna Stonecipher's book, is a sonic exploration of the city as we live, remember, and dream it. 
It weaves together fragmented narratives of urban wandering, the passage of time, the feeling of home, and the material weight of memory. 
The tracklist features city-related music slowed down to abstract, contemplative soundscapes. Interspersed throughout are film fragments in which the city –or the house– plays a central role, alongside spoken excerpts of Stonecipher's text.

“This composition is a sonic walk through my practice, weaving together different signals from projects I have produced over the last year. The work incorporates recordings of FM radio transmitter interference, HF radio modulation via the FT8 protocol, signals processed through Physarum polycephalum biological wires, and sounds generated from a circada-inspired radio protocol that I created last winter. The piece is a contemplative exploration of the hidden architecture of signals, made perceptible by filtering and temporal recalibration.”
Sarah Grant is a media artist and educator based in Berlin at Studio Weise7. She works with the electromagnetic spectrum and computer networks as artistic material, habitat, and political landscape. She organizes the Radical Networks conference in support of critical investigations and creative experiments in telecommunications.

f Philip Glass, John Cage, and a half-broken Splice sample pack had a baby in the back alley of a discoteca at 4 AM, this track would be its chaotic yet oddly comforting lullaby. Composed in 2024 with the patience of a goldfish, this piece is less about structure and more about the beautiful randomness of memory—like trying to piece together last night’s adventures while the distant echoes of the party still flicker in your brain.

There’s a faint influence of Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay in here (because apparently, I listened to it before making this), but don’t expect anything as polished. Instead, expect unexpected moments, a ping sound that cost me my sanity to find, and the kind of meandering energy that only makes sense if you have ADD and need constant sonic surprises to stay engaged.


Maybe it's a girl on a walk, still slightly tipsy, looking for her dog, following strange sounds down unfamiliar streets, thinking—just for a moment—there's no place like home.


It’s an exploration of basic editing—emphasis on "basic"—because patience is a virtue I do not possess. But somehow, through sheer lack of precision, this track might just be the perfect soundtrack for your post-party boulevard stroll, when the night is fading, the streetlights blur, and you’re left chasing fragments of a great time.

Slyenk (Silknife) is a Franco-Chilean artist whose work centers on storytelling through music, blending genres and techniques to craft immersive narratives.

This particular set, titled The Dying Verse, was created as an amalgamation of present emotions, both deeply personal and shaped by the turbulence of current world events. It offers a descent into an unraveling world, expressed through spoken word, classical music, and electronic influences: a collective of voices striving to resist.

Kind Planet

The villagers of the "Dersim" region, which the state has coded as a terrorist region for a few centuries, were burned with paraffin in the late 19th century and with Nazi gases in 1937 and bombed by planes. Rapzan Belagat, who has been performing hip-hop songs from Dersim since the 2010s, has had a nationwide arrest warrant issued for him due to his artistic work and the works he has produced since January 2019, and a 28-year prison sentence is requested for him.
Rapzan Belagat says ‘The oppressed will have the last word, see you in the new album’.

Michel Banabila, born 1961, is a sound artist, composer, and producer. Banabila has released music since 1983 and has produced musical scores for numerous films, documentaries, theater plays and choreography. His music varies from minimal loop-based electronica, fourth world, and neoclassical pieces, to drones,  experimental ambient,  and punk-as-fuck tape music. His work has been published by labels like Bureau B (DE), Eilean Rec (FR), Knekelhuis (NL), Pingipung (DE) and Séance Centre (CA)

Contemporary audio relics of a bygone future - these 'audio doodles' are a collaged combination of garageband / freesound / archive.org creative commons and public domain samples - hastily hacked together in response to themes and events at a particular moment. These pieces are an attempt to explore my real job as a design lecturer via audio alternatives to visual media with a hope of seeing a progression of ability and ideas over time. The accompanying images are captured whilst being a pedestrian in this world.

The tracks exist as little collections that are ordered to work together as a grouping of ideas around a theme. Often I upload tracks, a couple at a time, listen to them and edit as i go - so check for updates on anything you hear.
