Originally released in 1977 Rare Pleasure's 'Superfine Feeling' is a real hidden Soul gem. Released on a handful of acetates it changes hands for upwards of £400 but given it's scarcity that in itself is a rarity.

It's time for a celebration though as it's being re-released as the debut offering from a band new label @asandbees. The label is a brilliant cause in it's own right with 50% of all profits donated directly to the British Beekeepers Association.

To compliment the original A’s and Bees have drafted in UK legend @ashley-beedle with one of his signature NSW rejigs for the flip and he has crafted something extremely special giving this track cult status all over again.

Fresh off a run of hot remixes for Glitterbox is Razor’n’Tape’s JKriv who turns the disco arpeggios up to 11 with his soaring remix of Prospect Park’s ’The Kinda Love’. Complete with real live strings, rattling percussion and the powerhouse vocals of Yolanda Wynns.

JKriv also turns in a completely different more Chic-esque version on his ‘Kinda Boogie’ Mix. Packing away the synths and bringing the live disco bass and guitar into the spotlight.

DJ Plead delivers a unique set of deep and frenetic dance floor tools for his DECISIONS debut. Sumptuous percussion drawn from Plead’s Lebanese background is masterfully arranged to propel the listener into deeply mesmeric rhythmic zones. Equally hypnotic are the vocal and synth loops gleefully entwined throughout the EP, with vibes ranging from slinkily tense (DVE; Get In Circle) to exuberant (Giz) to downright dubby (Lee’s Shuffle). The EP title simultaneously references dancing circles at Lebanese weddings and the anthemic samples of footwork producers such as DJ Roc. Masterworks Music mastermind 80's Child unleashes the third volume of his Masterworks compilations. This is a two-part vinyl release with the first part featuring The Funk District hailing from Cancun, who kicks off the A side with "The Funky Joint". He gets a good ol' time shuffle going before handing it over to Parisian Oldchap for a proper low-slung boogie in the form of "To The Top". On the flip, Godfather of the western Australian dance scene Dr. Packer gets down with a wicked edit on the late night sexiness of "Your Big Chance" and fellow Mexican Hotmood goes out on a high note with smokin' hot vocal number "Raw Dance".

@yre_den lands on @decisionsrecords with a hopeful, animated new EP titled ‘Inlight’. Previously Yre Den, who is based in Berlin, has released via labels such as Cologne’s SPA Recordings as well as Magazine.

Today we’re premiering the EP’s title track ‘Inlight’. Naturally, as title or lead tracks often do, it offers the purest taste of Yre Den’s musical intentions as it twists, twirls and quivers as if filled with a springtime-ish renewal of energy and sanguine exuberance. A kind of energy and sanguineness we could all probably do with at the moment, if we're honest.

 And speaking of present day events, Yre Den has decided to direct all profits from the release to the GoFundMe campaign attached below. The campaign  aims to support LGBTQI+ and BIPOC individuals and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Samosa has had a fine year in 2020 and still has time to squeeze out one more vital disco offering. Following on from afrocentric Souldynamic and C. da Afro releases for the 19th volume of their VA compilation, this time drafted in is Mexican producer The Funk District who serves up four dazzling gems. High energy sounds, 70s film references, Latin flair and cosmic disco all feed into these tracks which are packed with bristling good times, feel good grovers and plenty of hands in the air moments. For us, 'La Rapina' is straight Latin dance floor gold that takes the EP's top slot.

We are huge fans of @YoungPulse here at LV online,  he was one of the featured artists of our Le Visiteur Presents Series at the start of 2020 before the Covid pandemic changed our world. His tracks are regular features in LV DJ sets and on LV online. His production style is warm, yet powerful, for us he's one of the powerhouse's of the current disco revivial.
