Biografie: Kobie Peeters
Ik ben geboren op 22 september 1979 in Genk, al van zo lang ik mij kan herinneren ben ik geïnteresseerd in muziek maar rond mijn 16de toen ik wekelijkse klant van ‘t Karrewiel te Hoeselt was en zag hoe dat dj Flip Vanderputte van het begin tot het einde een massa volk kon laten bewegen, toen is het mijn passie geworden. Zijn woorden tegen mij “ leren draaien kan ik u niet, ofwel zit dat in u ofwel niet, feel the music and find the energy!”. Mijn eerste plaatjes heb ik onder toezicht & begeleiding samen met hem mogen mixen en had de smaak helemaal te pakken. Ik kocht een goedkope mengtafel met 2 platenspelers en begon iedere dag te oefenen en zo speelde ik voor vrienden, verjaardagen, kleine feestjes…onder de naam Dj Kobeman.
De afterparty van de 1ste editie van City Parade in Gent op de Partysan Axe truck werd mijn eerste professionele ervaring, later volgde Creamm Haasdonk, The Cage Antwerpen, Big Fun Events & Yveskes Karaoke voor privé feesten, Neverland longest club session DJ relay, Cube Dance-House & Retro Nights (RADIO SPORT FM) en Gizmo (Ypsilon/Cube).
Mijn muziekstijlen die ik het liefst draai zijn progressive, deep house, retro/classics/old school, dance, groove, electro, tech-house en minimal.
