On this occasion Soos and NetterSystem deliver us a five song EP full of mist and 90s vibes. From the beginning this work takes us back to a party set decades ago in which breakbeat, techno and the jungle converge generating a series of sensations that are extrapolated. Digital and analog elements are mixed in the same timeline that in the end they reach the same conclusion: move the body.

As the tracks progress, the haze and white noise fill the imaginary space of our mind. Elements of bands like Spiritualized and many vocal samples fill the atmosphere throughout the tracks creating a well-being and at the same time an explosion of energy that causes you to move your body.
On the other hand, it is worth noting the maturity and the way in which sounds are handled in this work. In some parts it feels like being in the lobby of a European hotel: melancholic sounds that take time to mature in a very short amount of time. It's super enriching to hear layers and layers of sound that fall perfectly into place. In some parts the same melancholy takes us back to that time when the city of Leeds and Nightmares on Wax dominated the slopes. On the other hand, Latin America feels very present in the core of this EP.
Without a doubt, a work full of surprises and sounds that are not easily found.

PREMIERE: Soos - Jock Jam [Netter System]

Lunar Launch marks the sophomore release for Sydney-based producer Glen S and the fifth release for local label Dialectic Recordings.

Beginning with the title track, Glen S winds the clock down for a slow and steady start. Airy pads gently suspend the listener in zero gravity as the rising resonance of squelchy stereo transmissions are beamed from the control tower in anticipation for lift-off. 

With the engines warmed up and rockets thrusting, Alien Acid brings not only a slight increase in G-force, but also a diverse taste of flavours. Starting off with classic electro rhythms and 303-lines, Glen S showcases his ambitious character as he takes a sudden four-to-the-floor detour before dropping an unlikely half-time beat that will rattle the foundations of even the sturdiest of edifices.

The voyage continues with Gatewayed Rugs, a punchy electro cut with contortionist melodies and a combination of claps and snares that leave a bright red spank-welt on the surface of anything they come into contact with. Hypnotic as well as groovy, this track explores variations in timbre and mood with flawless transitioning and a genuine commitment to capturing the entirety of your attentional facilities. 

River View culminates our travels through the fabric of space and time and beckons the listener to take pause and reflect, as rolling rhythms flow on with the permanence of celestial currents through the galaxy. One feels at peace having finally landed on the moon, as arpeggios and drones serenade us before we bid them farewell - for now.

Legs dangling off the hill, they sat in silence taking in their surroundings. From up here you could see the entire city below; the glow of hundreds of cars moving through the streets and the huge skyscrapers that seemed to stretch far beyond the heavens. She'd never taken another person up here, it was her special place where she came to escape everything. But he seemed different to everyone else; she wanted to let him on her secret.

Moscow's ИДА (IDA) return for another instalment of breakbeats and wonky dance floor cuts, this time from Russian producer Moonoton. Alongside two original cuts that bring a blend of breaks, voodoo vocal samples and Italo synths, the release is backed up by two remixes from Facets and St Petersburg-based producer Maruwa, who adds her signature touch, balancing heavy breaks with dreamy, celestial atmospheres.
