Utopia Society presents: Utopia Tapes, a collection of podcasts from the most relevant artists who have left their mark on our project. In our first edition we have Dave Black.

Dave Black is a Spanish musician and DJ focused on electronic and Techno. With multiple references to past and present electronic music and affiliations with labels such as Utopia, Illegal Alien and also his own, Philia, his music is characterized by the pursuit of a physical-mental experience that provides an energetic and trance-inducing atmosphere on the dance floor.

Utopia Tapes 20 | Dave Black

After a brief hiatus, HYPNO Sounds' pulsating rhythms are back on the airwaves. In anticipation of our VOL 9.0 soirée, our latest mix comes from across the Atlantic, landing right in Miami, USA.

Known for fostering and pushing local talent, as well as founding the local Romanticos Collective—which has already hosted hypnotic staples like Rene Wise and Arthur Robert—this mix captures the hypnotic swing we champion at HYPNO. Fresh off previously warming up for Marr⌀n, it is minimal in essence but maximal in effect—just the way we like it.

In their own words: "With influences from diverse genres such as jazz, drum and bass, classical, house, trance, and Latin music, we explore rhythm, percussion, and the unknown through the sounds of hypnotic techno."

HYPNO SOUNDS 9.0

Born in Palermo in 1996, adner’s passion for Electronic Music began in 2010, making his first steps as a Dj when he was 14. 

Influenced by Techno, EBM and experimental music, and by artists such as Regis, Dasha Rush, Rrose and Kobosil’s early works, his sound is a journey through the depth of music where the past meets the future, exploring a large palette of genres both in his productions and in his Dj sets. 

In 2023 adner started “Question of Perception”, his own series of releases on Bandcamp, which is a selection of dancefloor oriented tracks that show the harshest side of his musical production.

Papeer is a producer and DJ working on raw, hypnotic, and fast-paced techno rhythms.

He currently creates the artwork for Raw Pendulum label, where he and other artists release their music bringing the influences of his origins into his music, which further shapes his unique style.

Matteo is an Italian producer and DJ based on Lake Maggiore. After some years in Milan he moved back in his own town focusing on developing his sound thru his 2 labels MBMUSIC Ltd. and Raw Elegance.

As MBMUSIC Ltd. delivers a deep, dub and atmospherical side of the artist, Raw Elegance has a clear vision on the dance floor.
With this mix MBM wants to showcase his recent creations for Raw Elegance featuring a lot upcoming music on the label.

1st release “Layering Tools” received a lot of support from the scene, with the record that came as digital and a very short dub plate edition; the 2nd record (whom tracks as been included here) is close to be announced and will be release on digital and on vinyl in larger amount.
