What a sad year in the music industry, saying goodbye to so many of our greatest artists. At the same time music is a great way to heal and recover from our losses and come together. 

This mixtape has felt good to mix together because the music has created so much joy and happiness, although it's also one of the hardest of the year to put together. After all, it's been a great musical 2016 for SVGR with the release of 24 mixtapes, more than 1000 followers on Soundcloud, and more than 350 tracks, that's been so good they deserved to be on one of the 24 mixtapes. 

This is mixtape number 25 and the last mixtape of the year. Everything has been listened through and 15 tracks have made it to the final. It’s perhaps not the greatest hits or the best-produced tracks, but it’s the 15 tracks that have created the most joy, dancing, and singing. Which is what SVGR is all about. 

Huge thanks for 2016, thanks for all your support, it's been great and I hope that 2017 will be even more fun with more great mixtape experiences, more live performances, and even more interaction with music lovers from all over the world. Let's contribute to a more peaceful world through dancing and singing together...

The Best Of SVGR 2016

The SVGR project and this profile might be silent for a while. I'll still check in now and then, and perhaps drop a mixtape if I'm inspired. But less traction and plays in the last years, due to changes in the Soundcloud algorithms (or the quality of my work), has left all the scouting hours and the time spend on a frequent mixtape production unbalanced.

Few facts about the SVGR project. SVGR is short for 'Svoger' which means 'Brother-in-law' in Danish and is pronounced [Swåger]. I'm from Copenhagen, and have been creating mixtapes for years to share the work of rare musicians, and inspire friends with new deep house tunes. Playing 'Live' I'm one half of the dj duo 'DJ Svoger' and SVGR has been my solo-project. 

SVGR is a private initiative with no commercial strings attached, and thanks for all the listening, following, reposts, comments, and likes through the years.
