2021 was a tough one and due to the circumstances, it hasn't been a productive year when it comes to mixtapes or live performances. But now it’s time for the final release of the year, and like in the previous years, every track on this year’s SVGR mixtapes has been listened through, and 13 tracks made it to this year's final mixtape.

The selection might not be the greatest hits of the year, and some might not even be a 2021 release or a crowd-pleaser at all - but these tracks have created the most joy, dancing, and singing among the SVGR fans, friends, and family... and they all appeared on an SVGR mixtape in 2021.

Thanks for all the support, plays, likes, and comments in 2021. Stay safe in 2022, and remember that great music cures and conquers all.

The Best Of SVGR 2021

It’s time for the final release of the year, and like in the previous years, every track on this year’s seven SVGR mixtape releases has been listened through, and 13 tracks made it to this year's final mixtape. 

Thanks to the artists, producers, DJs, labels, etc.., and what a year for Tommy Glasses (again) and Chaney, whom both have two tracks in this year’s selection. I’ve picked the tracks that have created the most joy, dancing, and singing among the SVGR family, and they have all appeared on an SVGR mixtape in 2022. I have mentioned below which mixtape the track appeared on.

The Best Of SVGR 2022

Everything fell into place for this year 'The Best of 2023'. Fourteen tracks have been selected from over a hundred tracks that appeared on the eight SVGR mixtapes released throughout the year. 

Every year, I'm amazed by the abundance of new music, and I can't help but wonder if 2024 will be any different. This marked the eighth year of the SVGR project, and the passion for electronic music remains strong. 

A huge thank you to all the loyal supporters who consistently contribute with lovely comments, likes, and shares. Without you, the motivation would have faded long ago. I hope you enjoy dancing to the selected 2023 tracks, and as the year comes to a close, there's nothing left to say but thanks. The pleasure has been all mine.

This mixtape is a tribute to friends and artists who inspired me in the last month, from Fred Again playing on a boat in Copenhagen, to large festival concerts with Khruangbin, Barry Can't Swim, Roisin Murphy, and Jungle, mixed with snappy Shazams from the Lisboa and Porto nightlife, ending in Mallorca with chilled terrace evenings spinning secret gems with my besties. Los Ibéricas

This mixtape is all about hanging on to the last ray of light, as winter approaches. At the same time, it's been a long winter here on Soundcloud for a while, giving us mixtape producers a hard time by decreasing our organic reach, and algorithms that restrain us from reaching our followers and audience. 

The last track on this mixtape ‘Turning the Page’ is an ode to that, referring to the plays that have declined over the years, while many mixtape producers have refined their selections and skills.

Sala Da Ballo

As is tradition, I have listened to all of this year's SVGR mixtapes, which this year were limited to six releases, and selected the tracks that I think have worked best or that have given the most joy, dancing and singing. I have mixed the selected tracks together in a standalone mixtape, which encapsulates the spirit of the times for me from 2024.

2020 has been quite a rollercoaster and it’s finally done and dusted. Now it is time for the final release of the year, and like in the previous years, every track on the 12 SVGR mixtape releases in 2020 has been listened through, and 15 tracks have made it to this year's final mixtape. 

This selection might not be the greatest hits of the year. Some might not even be a 2020 release or the most popular dancefloor banger - but these tracks have created the most joy, dancing, and singing in the SVGR car or kitchen with my friends and family, as live events this year only has been on Twitch and Facebook Live.

Thanks for all the support, plays, likes, and comments in 2020. Unfortunately, 2021 will be a quieter Soundcloud year for me, as the workload has been too extensive, so there will be significantly longer between my releases. Stay safe, and remember that great music conquers all.

The Best Of SVGR 2020

The SVGR project and this profile might be silent for a while. I'll still check in now and then, and perhaps drop a mixtape if I'm inspired. But less traction and plays in the last years, due to changes in the Soundcloud algorithms (or the quality of my work), has left all the scouting hours and the time spend on a frequent mixtape production unbalanced.

Few facts about the SVGR project. SVGR is short for 'Svoger' which means 'Brother-in-law' in Danish and is pronounced [Swåger]. I'm from Copenhagen, and have been creating mixtapes for years to share the work of rare musicians, and inspire friends with new deep house tunes. Playing 'Live' I'm one half of the dj duo 'DJ Svoger' and SVGR has been my solo-project. 

SVGR is a private initiative with no commercial strings attached, and thanks for all the listening, following, reposts, comments, and likes through the years.
