@Defrostatica is delighted to welcome @LaDame1 to the label. The kind polyglot DJ and producer from Belgium, with a vision of music that is centered around global breakbeats, presents four forward-thinking takes on jungle music.

She has crafted her own distinctive approach to jungle drum 'n' bass, combining elements of both slow and fast styles within the genre in a way that is entirely unique. Her drum hits are precisely
and minimalistically arranged, creating a powerful impact in perfect harmony with deep-roaring basses and vibrant, tropical voices. La Dame's conceptual use of animal-sounding samples is based
on the idea that the Bestiary EP depicts creatures that are a mixture of human-cyborg and animal, through electronic music. We can clearly hear the creatures dancing passionately and loudly on the
broken screens of our time.

@The-Untouchables remix of Kinnara, a being half human and half bird, is as heavyweight as you can expect from them and we are over the moon to have the pleasure to premiere it on our platform!

DjBadshape met Sinistarr at the 2023 Movement Festival, where he was playing on the Detroit stage, and it was then that she became fascinated by Torpor, originally released on his Everything On Time EP in 2019. Her 170 bpm remix adds a new dimension to the original, replacing the melancholy synths with an autonomic drum and bass vision.

Amsterdam-based DJ, producer and biologist Teqmun is 犯规 False Guidance’s next guest on BAIHUI. After having released several EPs on local forward-thinking labels such as Sann Odea, Flippen Disks, and Nerve Collect, Tijmen Blokzijl is known as a rising talent who is one of those artists constantly pushed at the edges of sound design. His works are like fresh blends of IDM, breakbeat techno, bass and airy, dreamy sounds, which are energetic, highly emotional and musically wide-open. Apart from his interest in electronic music, Tijmen Blokzijl is also a molecular plant biologist. His passion for the microscopic makes sense with the attention to even the tiniest details in his music and biology related. 

This one hour set cooks up with contemporary bass, jungle, half-time percussions and idm organically and adventurously, to build a path let you traverse harsh phenomena in nature. And don’t forget to listen to his latest self-released Mutualism's Hidden Costs on Bandcamp.

Jad & The joins the label on the A1 with a slow mo meditation full of warm pads and a string of broken beats on “X-Treme Drum”. The A2 comes from Lehults head chef, Lucky Charmz, with a 150bpm drum and bass inspired electro cut. Rolling low subs with a UK feel. Something different.

The B side invites Sid Quirk, who recently featured on BP009 under other alias Keppel, this time with his 88bpm haunting original vocals, packed between dark percussions and twisted soundscapes on “B_F L_R”, on the Hessle feel. Closing up the release, the B2 welcomes back Filip Szostak to the fold, this time bringing a drum heavy breakbeat DJ Tool that closes proceedings with energy and a suited transition for shifting moods on the dance floor.

There was a strange, mysterious object which floated in the dense night sky. It flashed an electric green, illuminous and weird amidst a backdrop of delicate stars. It left a lot to the imagination - what was inside? Who was in flight? Were these creatures from the great beyond? It had been a long time since they'd last seen a UFO around these parts, not since the hot and heavy summer nights of the sixties. Then again, who knew what they'd seen way back then in the days of old. It was but a blur to him, a psychedelic haven of rage and madness.

A little while back we featured a mix from the ever playful musician and producer Your Planet Is Next. A Scandinavian superhero of sorts who has come to save the day from snobby enthusiasts and those who take life too seriously. He appears on a new split EP for Warning Records with a track called "UFO".

The overwhelming sensations of physical, social, and emotional detention painted the horizon with a nostalgic hue..."so we felt a certain type of nostalgia for this particular future..." And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
