Blending deep Afrotech and Afrohouse rhythms, the track carries the energy of dancing barefoot in sacred earth, surrounded by the heartbeat of drums and voices of those who came before.

art-aud is thrilled to present you a big thing its been in the work for a while, a project collaboration with the historical italian label, Interactive Test. founded in ’91 from the crazy minds of the two brothers Franco and Riccardo Falsini, it was one of the first real underground imprints to born in Italy and to propose an innovative sound at the time, that soon after exploded all over the world more and more. with almost 40 releases done in few years, the two brothers have really created an empire, a stronghold in the hills of the belle Florence. now, after more than 25 years, we have decided to bring back the light to what for us are the most significant tracks and visions from their world, sign of a past but still very current present and future, in a sort of “greatest hits” vinyl compilation. six tunes of six different names, and different vibes, taken from different eps (all rare to find now), nicely remastered from the source files by the big man Alden Tyrell. 

The records (first run limited-trasparent copies) coming in full sleeve with an insert and a sticker.

Alex Ross is a producer and DJ from Glasgow, previously based in Aberdeen, where he became a part of the MELD collective and is behind the creation of the MELD label.

His synth-laden track "Ambivert" combines 808s with rising pads, following the groove and rhythm found in an archetypal electro track but with a conversely uplifting set of chords to match.

Distorted Sensory Perception is back with a journey of deep space exploration in the form of their 2nd Various Artists release ‘Outer Solar System’. Featuring a diverse selection of deeper Electro and Techno of the broken beat variety. 

The A-side boasts a nostalgic stripped back yet progressive cut ‘Persistence’ from Maltese duo Moodex. Next up, a deep ethereal musical statement ‘Early Morning Hours’ from fellow Maltese producer Sound Synthesis in his unique style. 

The B-side opens with the moody, new school heavy hitter ‘Impulse Control’ from French producer and label co-founder Oshkossh. The penultimate track ‘Brainacid v2’ comes in the form of dusty machine music from Italian newcomer Caramel Chameleon that is reminiscent of AFX ambient works. Last but by no means least the record is brought to an epic conclusion with the frantically emotive and intricate ‘Grny89’ from France's Foreign Sequence.

Icelandic producer @jonbjorn returns to his Lagaffe Tales imprint to deliver four vibrant cuts on the ‘BROT’ catalogue.

In a small valley between two mountains in the Icelandic Westfjords, you can find the source of creativity for the Reykjavík based Icelandic DJ and producer, Jónbjörn. As well as being an accomplished DJ, performing in Berlin, Vienna, Helsinki, Tbilisi and festivals such as Sonar Reykjavik and Secret Solstice, the last three years has seen Jónbjörn carving out a solo career both as a graphic designer, and music producer developing a sound of his own working with labels such as Neo Violence, FALK Records, D.KO Records and remixes on his Lagaffe Tales imprint – the label he’s been running for the past seven year runs with his friend Viktor Birgiss. In 2020 Lagaffe Tales will introduce more artists on the BROT series which @felixleifur started ever so memorably with a headturning trilogy in 2019.

The opener entitled ‘Shamisen’ kicks off the EP with stabbing electro drums, fluttering synth work harmonising with the gentle melodies throughout while ‘Anthophila Anna’ provides a more technofocused feel with raw modulations, acid-fuelled tones and surging, lo-fi rhythms.

On the filp, ‘Tinni’ deploys a menacing synth line, growing oscillations floating with the weight-driven kicks and snares offering up a peak-time dancefloor focused cut before ‘Sakuragawa’ rounds off proceedings with shimmering grooves harmonising with the aquatic tones and effervescent elements that pulsate until the end.
