For our weekly edition of our codecast X series, we'd like to welcome a great DJ/producer from Chile, John Plaza.

He's one of the co-founders of the great Chilean project, Dosis Records. He's been producing his own tracks for the last 2 years.
His style is built around blending active percussions with minimal ambient sounds & enveloping hypnotic passages. Through this combination he aims to create a trip both mental & physical.
He has releases on diverse labels around the world, such as Blackline, Ancestral Process, Dorian, between others.

Kiara is a Leipzig-based DJ and founding member of the Nebula collective. Together with Nebula she organizes illegal raves and club events such as at Institut für Zukunft, Distillery or Elipamanoke and is thus contributing to the techno scene in Leipzig. She has always had a passion for many different music genres. Coming from a hardcore, punk and indie background and playing classical guitar since her early childhood she discovered her love for techno in her early twenties. Her style can be described as trippy, spherical yet straightforward with a consistent hypnotic flow. In her track search she makes sure to choose tracks that have a deep and drifting atmosphere. Working at Safer Clubbing AG at the club Institut für Zukunft she is raising awareness and educates club-goers to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and safe to create a free, self-determined and safe place for everyone to party.
The mix was recorded at a pre-opening clubnight at institut für zukunft.

Shelley, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun.
Known for her deep hypnotic sets, filled with organic sounds and dubby and driving atmospheres, her cultivating frequencies and understanding are reflected.
Shelley left her mark on such platforms as Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Deepinic, to name a few and recently for Aura Production and Unknown Timeline.
She is also mixing her own mix series called Secret Place available on her SoundCloud.

Emphasizing the extraordinary relationship between man with the machine, we come to Kids on Acid, the project of the other personality of José Infante where he seeks to tell an autobiography through the manipulation of synthesizers and sequencers. Psychedelic, acid and transcendental: words used by himself to describe his content, like if the name of the project wasn't enough to denounce it. After a long musical practice in other metaphysical lands like "The Positronics", where he explored dub chill out and experimentalism, José Infante creates Kids on Acid and sublimates his music to the dance floors.

With dedication, podcast no.45 comes from an artist with aspiring career, @LindseyHerbert who's at age 16 continues to drift towards the deeper realms of techno, constantly honing her craft as a DJ and getting involved with the thriving scene in San Francisco. Fast-forward to 2021 and Lindsey has truly become a recognized name in her city and beyond, in large part thanks to her unique signature sets— true journeys that explore alternating soundscapes laced together by dark, deep and heavy textures, as well psychedelic elements and ethereal melodies; and now her productions as well. With tour dates that have brought her to international venues playing beside top name DJs, she is an artist to watch.

Lindsey’s hard work over the years has paid off, gaining her residencies with San Francisco’s Robot Ears for six years, and more recently becoming the newest member of Direct to Earth in SF, as well as earning a spot on the roster of Berlin-based agency, Point Collective back in 2016. She has played coveted gigs in Detroit, Chicago, Athens, Istanbul, and throughout Germany, as well as her recent debut in the legendary Tresor Berlin and Gate Club in Batumi, Georgia.

Joining the dots between heads down, high energy Techno & caustic, wide-angle atmospherics via slick percussive motifs with a razor-sharp sheen - Emily Jeanne has spent the last few years developing a unique voice as both a DJ and producer.
The Belgian artist, who spent her formative years between Vietnam and Ghent honing her craft as a DJ, has worked tirelessly to carve out a sonic space that exists in equal parts as an homage to the reduced purism of the progenitors of the genre, as it does a harsh light looking forward to pastures new. 
Emily’s intriguing, dynamic sets caught the ears of Belgian techno institution Fuse, who announced her as part of their new team of residents in 2021. 
As a producer, an invigorating sense of restraint and a keen ear for balanced, dynamic composition has seen ample returns as the artist’s body of work begins to manifest itself across the contemporary leftfield dance music landscape. Leading to appearances on Token, ANGLS Records, VOLTAGE Imprint & vurt (Seoul) compilations and a larger outing Public By Default (2019) via Svreca’s legendary Semantica imprint. 
Slick, tempered and finely tuned, the extended EP works as something of a manifesto for the Belgian artist’s work - placing the emphasis on craft & nuance it’s a bold mission statement that depicts a refreshing raison d’etre from an exciting artist ready to embark on the next stage of their career.
