For the 23rd podcast in the series, Implimind presents the Combined Pressure project. After both @combinedtype and @pressurereliefsystem appeared as one of the series’ first outings, the duo’s plotted for some time to join forces and vision.

Where PRS further pushed their selections to fit a variety of occasions and outlets, Combined Type profoundly used the world’s downtime to successfully increase their studio output.

Together, Combined Pressure blended the individuals’ ever-lingering ideas and aimed to craft a lengthy yet powerful recording. As the delicate introduction of tense atmosphere soon enough morphs into the eerie flow one would expect from the project, the mix presents several stages of twisted rhythms, goofy patterns and unreleased bits.

With bright days in sight for nightlife, chances are solid that this formation will be back rather sooner than later. But for now, dive in and enjoy.

Mario Castro is an electronic music artist from Mexico, that started getting in the musical world in 2014 but it was until 2017 that the Electronic music project called Never Alone In A Dark Room was born.
In the early days he mostly produced Experimental music such as Ambient, Harsh - Noise, Avant Garde influenced electronic music and more, as the years passed he started to make Minimal Electronic music.
Later in 2019 he created Microativ Hub wich would become a formal digital label until 2020.

He begins his performance with a deep and mysterious introduction, which in a dissonant crash gives way to a wild rhythm. The minimalist and malicious tone glue the listener to the seat and propels him into an evil and sexy frenzy. The selection is absolutely remarkable, with seamless transitions and perfect cohesion of the sounds: musique concrète elements are omnipresent at all times and add to the complexity of this piece. Although of a rare meticulousness in the details, the performance is characterized by a refined groove and a uniform atmosphere, contrasted by some extraordinary elements: a saxophone and grunts, sung murmurs, or ethereal vocals.
Zepovek brilliantly masters tension throughout an introspective soundscape that is at once evocative, abstract and passionate.
