Chain and the Gang are led by the hugely charasmatic Ian Svenonius, the prime mover of two of the most essential bands of our time Nation Of Ulysses and The Make-Up. They deal in deal in a new genre called CRIME ROCK that updates rock n roll, blues, and gospel music or vocal quartets from the late 50s /early 60s for the discerning few. Minimum Rock N Roll is minimal and ferocious, lean and mean. This record is a kind of aural austerity with barely any words, hardly any beats, fewer notes - its just EXACTLY ENOUGH.

A Little God In My Hands is the first track to be taken from Swans' forthcoming album 'To Be Kind' released on Mute on 12 May / 13 May on Young God Records (North America).

The album features several special guests: Little Annie, St. Vincent, Cold Specks and Bill Rieflin, the album was produced by Michael Gira, and recorded by John Congleton at Sonic Ranch, Texas. Further recordings and mixing were accomplished in Dallas, Texas. 

Swans are Michael Gira, Norman Westberg, Christoph Hahn, Phil Puleo, Thor Harris and Christopher Pravdica.

'To Be Kind' will be released on triple vinyl, double CD, download and 3 disc deluxe Edition (including a live DVD).

Hailing from the east coast of Australia and currently residing in New York, Young Magic is Isaac, a portable studio, and friends. These songs were recorded over the last six months in various places around the world: old spy bases near Berlin, empty rooms in Iceland, kids’ playgrounds in Melbourne, and no water flats in New York. These various locales are sampled and integrated into the fabric of Young Magic’s sound: the fluidity and songwriting of late 60’s psychedelic soul combined with modern-day beat making.
