Coded Verses was meant to deliver a message that some people already know but forgotten. The idea was to describe agony and hatred through sound and to provide a solution through the lyrics.
The hook part, however, picturized the battle that's been going on for lifetime in Indonesians' mind. The dilemma to pick side or to do what's right to do.

Mochammad Alex (born Dec 5, 1979), better known by his stage name Alex Shiva, is an Indonesian musician. He is best known as the founder and only member of the band Shiva in the mid of 2000, and also former bassist, co-founding member, and one of the composers of the rock band SHIVA. He has also worked with Baron (ex GIGI) as a sound studio operator,  session player for many artist album (Indonesian Idol 1, AFI 2) and many others.

Musician, songwriter, arranger, composer, jingle maker. The following are some of the work that has been done: Bassist, songwriter, arranger, composer SHIVA Band (BMG Indonesia 2001-2005), "Sabda" Shiva 1st Album, "Shiva" Shiva 2nd Album, Bassist on "Tenggelam Dalam Kisahmu" AFI Adit 2 by SONY MUSIC Entertainment, Recording Operator on "Cinta Memilihmu" Ady Naff "From Heart to Love" by ProSound RECORD.

Alex had been based in Jakarta for much of his career, from studying at the Bina Nusantara University, to performing in local bands.
