Fresh from his Interference EP, released earlier in the month on Tresor Records, and ahead of his return to the club in March as supporting act for Jeff Mills, we sat down with the zealous Glaswegian Vince Watson to discuss his fierce musicality, affinities with Tresor and diverse array of forthcoming projects.

Puresque is Paul Brtschitsch and Mocca—Paul whose discography stretches back to the mid-90s and is widely regarded for his sensitive sound arrangements both on record and live, and Mocca—real name Michael Kunz—who has been simmering his sonic pallet on the Berlin circuit over the last few years. They met over a mutual love of vinyl and entered the studio together with the desire to create something raw, as removed as possible from the synthetic feel of purely digital production.

Minus Connections October 2013 - Tripmastaz

Italian DJ/producer Roberto Capuano got into electronic music production before he was a teenager, but his first prominent release came in 2009 with the “Got You” 12″ on MKT Records. Capuano’s own style continued to evolve with the developing techno landscape including releases on Elegant Bit, Monique, and elsewhere, and last year he had a blow-up track with “T4,” off his collaborative EP with Markantonio on Analytic Trail. This year he’s released the “Vertigo” EP on Drumcode and the digital “Sweet Willy” on Analytic Trail while enjoying the opportunity to tour in the wake of recent successes.

This week’s mix is a driving set that gets going about a minute in with Antifepn’s “Dig It” and doesn’t let up. Paul Johnson, Blake Baxter, Aphrohead, Frankie Bones, Adam X, and Hyperactive all make appearances alongside newer names. There’s bass, there’s funk, there’s shuffle, and there’s even more cowbell. Rikardia had her first experiences with mixing in 2012. Being taught on pitching, using effects and stuff by friends, her interest in mixing raised quickly. She started tackling the subject and discovered the different variations of DJing. In the end, she decided to get her own equipment and give it a try.

By autumn 2013, Rikardia has been mixing for three months, and is just about improving herself constantly.

In September 2013, she got the great opportunity to present her first Techno Set on the radio show "INCREASED PRESSURE" on FNOOB Techno Radio. Receiving huge and encouraging support from the audience and her friends, she decided to put her first tries into public.

After her first gig in November 2013 she got the great opportunity to be part of the Swiss Techno Label "BlackBeats Records".

Rikardia's sets are based on fast and heavy basslines combined with driving and dark elements. She loves to create banging sets and being loyal to her taste of music: Strictly Rough Techno!

Yanik Schilling was born on the March 1990 in Lüdenscheid and move to Unna in the Ruhrgebiet quickly.
He growing up there and developed passion to Music in early age.
At the age of 12 the penetrated to elctronic music dominated and he forgot oll the others.
At first to House, Deep House and minimal Music went to Tech House and Techno music.
The curiosity for the working of a Dj growed up from party to party.
At the age of 20 years Yanik looked how a Dj of the early Technotime is working and he was grabbed by the passion
of these.
Soon he buys a Mixer and Turntables about to mix Vinyls and practice to play Sets.
After one year he get the first gigs on private Partys in Nrw but more could´nt long to wait for.

Uncompromising, Dark, Atmospheric. Techno! That’s the sound of Cortechs. It did not take long until the unique sound of Cortechs became attention in the global underground scene of techno music. After multiple releases on various prestigious labels, Cortechs earned his rightful position among the most important producers and performers of the german underground techno movement.

With his first album "The End Justifies The Means" which was released on his regular label "Machine Box", Cortechs was able to give his sound a very personal touch and gather enough raw materials to use and intuitively play with in his exquisite Ableton Live sets. Having been on tour through Germany a lot of times, he always found inspiration for producing new sounds. This new material was also the basis for upcoming projects like the "Last 13 EP" released on Steil or the collaboration with Hackler & Kuch which was released on De-Konstrukt. With remixes for Angy Kore, Niereich, Morgan Tomas, Cortechs has become an important and much requested remixer in the scene.

In 2013 even more live gigs came around. This automatically resulted in much new material again which directly found ist way into his ableton sessions . This was also the biggest influence for his next big Project, his second LP "Waste of Humanity", which will be released on Steil later this year. So if you are looking for atmospheric and massive bassline tracks, make sure to look out for Cortechs!

With his unique blend of DJing enriched by live elements he has appeared alongside mainstays of the international Techno scene like Chris Liebing, Marcel Fengler or Terence Fixmer. Boasting Releases on Affin, Driving Forces and 2651 Records, HOURS is already on to new projects: besides releasing an EP on Pierre Deutschmann’s XLR1507 later this year, touring with his new live act Descartes_ (in collab with Peter Kneer) he is also working on the first releases of his own, all new imprint Concepts Of Time. This weeks podcast is an excerpt of one of his extended all night long sets on Lehmann’s 2nd floor.

Constantly involved with the global scene of the Dark Minimal Techno and recognized for their talent and vast music collection that has acquired since 2008, the year he started DJing, Guilherme Krause leads in their sets, dark ambiences combined with futuristic and minimalist elements. His sets vary between 120 and 128 bpm creating an introspective mood, sometimes tense, on the dance floor.

"I try to make my listeners feel the music in a way beyond the dance, not only letting themselves be carried away by the beat, but having to think about how to absorb the elements and ambiences through their minds and express through their bodies, keeping both working together all the time."

Nowadays he is signed to the following record labels. Soluxion Records Netlabel, based in Italy, which explores the experimental side of underground electronic music. Concepto Hipnotico Records, based in Argentina dedicated to Minimal and Techno hypnotic and D.M.T. Records based in Canada. He is also part of the True Chain Co, Brazilian collective of production of parties aimed at search for the essence of underground electronic music.

Already performed at festivals such as Pachamama Hatun Festival (Peru), Outro Mundo Festival, Ecosounds Festival, Kundalini Fullmoon Festival, Origens Festival, in southern Brazil.

In 2012, started a new project of Minimalistic Dark Techno with Diego Brinker, called S.M.O.G. Besides DJing and production, he is envolved with decor art producing psychedelics decors on string art.
