Sky & Shell

Techno duo Sky & Shell comes from Slovenia. Gordan L. and Boris B., both 21 years old, are two DJs who live for music. Gordan lives in Brežice (Slovenia) and studies in Ljubljana and Boris comes from Krško (Slo) and studies in Zagreb (Croatia). The one who started with mixing tunes was Boris 5 years ago. At the beginning he played house and subgenres like funky and progressive house, but very soon he became passionate for harder beats. That is why he switched to tech house and later on to minimal techno.
As he and Gordan were classmates in high school, they were hanging out a lot and Gordan became more and more interested in electronic scene. From that time on, 3 years ago, they have been playing together.
For the first two years they mostly played tech house, techno and occasionally some hard techno. But since last year their sets have been based on techno, because they visualise their future on a techno scene. Among the artists who have had the strongest influence on their creation of music are Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Eric Sneo, Tom Hades, Advent&Industrialiyzer, Paul.A etc.
Their mixing style is a mixture of old school and new digital era techniques. Their music could be described as driving dark hypnotic techno with old rave and industrial sounds.
S&S are very proud of their work, and especially of the fact that they have won a lot of competitions in Slovenia. B., while still playing alone, won a battle in the local club Bruno. Together they won Support your local DJ contest where around 250 DJs took part and the prize was a set on the well-known Eco festival in Slovenia. The next competition that they won was at Space Club Otočec, and finally there is also the first place from CK Shock Battle in Ljubljana which brought them a performance on the electronic stage at Ritem Mladosti with Mike Vale.
Their production is still at the very beginning, because this year, after all school obligations and other activities, they will finally have time to focus on production, so this year won’t miss their first release. In the future S&S are looking forward to more gigs, to meet new people from the scene and most importantly to keep their fans satisfied on the dance floor.
