In Greek mythology, Icarus and Daedalus myth stands to represent man's ability to push himself to the limits, trying to achieve what was once thought as impossible.

Daedalus was a brilliant mind and found work in Crete as an architect ruled then by King Minos. He fell in love with Naucrate and they had a child whom they named Icarus. 
At some point, King Minos asked Daedalus to build a labyrinth for the Minotaur so he wouldn't escape and be hidden from everyone. 
He then kept Daedalus and Icarus prisoners in a high tower in Crete so they wouldn't reveal the secret of the labyrinth to anyone.

Considering their options to escape, it turned out the only way was by air. Deadalus conceived two pairs of wings with feathers he had gathered over time. He warned his son not to fly too close to the sun or sea. Icarus flew next to the sun and the wax holding the feathers together melted. He fell down into the sea and drowned. A little caution and some patience is necessary to achieve great things and we think the whole process of this EP describes just this.

After releasing a few singles on Anomaly Music Collective and Lump Records, Samaha crafted the Icarus EP over the past year and makes his debut on Art Vibes. With four original tracks, we aim at showcasing this promising producer from Seattle, USA. Coming from a trance background, Anthony has now shifted to the ethnic and worldly beats of house and techno.

‘Icarus', the main track of the EP is a solid progressive house collaboration with french duo Pandhora. Elaborate chord progressions and crafted chopped vocals blend with the delicate ethnic percussions and the gliding deep bass.

‘Sultan and the Scarab' showcases Samaha's trance background while presenting a lovely ethnic touch. In one ear, a booming royal horn synth to represent the Sultan, and in the other, a playful guitar to represent the Scarab. Combined with powerful drums, this will make any crowd dance through the night. 
Going further into Anthony's world, third track 'Asabiyyah' is a hypnotic electronic tale built up from trippy vocals and crazy arpeggios.

To finish off this EP on the right note, ‘Vendetta' echoes to ‘Icarus' as it presents the same vocal arranged differently in the background of the track. Samaha demonstrates once again his ability to compose unique melodies that stick to the ears.

For this EP, we are gifted with talented remixers who proposed an alternative to the original tracks, in their own refined styles. Spanish violonist and producer Alvaro Suarez as well as Athens based Lannka produced their own version of ‘The Sultan and The Scarab' while Gardens of Babylon's Vander worked on a psychedelic and deep version of ‘Asabiyyah'.

Alex Kaminski sets the scene with four original tracks in Wüste (Desert), summoning us to the fire dance ritual of a medicine man and his rattle, calling to the spiritual world. He will translate a sacred message to us through his music and dance.

The London based DJ and producer Betoko prepared two well crafted tracks with Tunisian artist Haze-M for this EP, and both are techno weapons with a subtle melodic groove. Over the years, Betoko and Haze-M managed to create anthems that were released on labels like Diynamic, Suara, Katermukke, Einmusika, Get Physical and now ZEHN Records.

'Rebirth' envelopes you with its hypnotising chants and and stimulates your body to a progressive journey. It has a perfect balance of energy to give the crowd a boost, without being too overpowering. It makes it easy to create a story/set from there says Betoko himself on the tune, after opening many of his sets with it on South America tour. "I have never been a huge fan of Eastern/Indian vocals beacuse I feel they have been used alot, but when I heard this particular track I was hypnotized, it was almost like it spoke to me and in my mind I made my own lyrics and story.”

Hey! Here is our remix of Anaximander from our swiss friends Ioanis @ioanis & Don Son @donniemusic. To produce this remix we teamed up with Julien Philippon, a talented sitar player from Marseille. We spent a beautiful afternoon last spring recording him playing his sitar. It was the first time we had to record such a complex & full of harmonies instrument. We would like to thank him for this rewarding experience and are glad to present the final production to you!
PS: This track is part of the Centaurus EP, out on Wildfang Music @wildfang-music.

RELEASE NOTE
Centaurus. Not merely a constellation of the southern hemisphere, emitting a harsh light into its surroundings, but also a combination, unbeding and obvious, a unit of diversities, being reflected by the centaurus.
The three alchemists acting deep and mysterious. Alerting horns calling, while divining voices lead to the path lined with bells.

Lars Neuberts version mirrors an even more mythtical image. A symbiosis between analog complexity and dynamical synthesism, which is resulting from a dramaturgical creation.

Anaximander, a philosophical journey, stepping through dunes while leaving storms behind. A wonderful, yearning and oriental sounding voice pulling you deeper and deeper into its captivation. While this spherical drama is spreading itself you’ll find a suction developing inwards more and more.

The two extraordinary musicians Pandhora and their intstrumentalist for this piece, Julien Philippon, represent their interpretation in a even more ethnical character. Its driving potential is forming a second act, a continuation of the drama in a new setting. Extremely hypnotic organic whipping through the tight alleys of the bazar, accompanied by smell of oriental spices.

House Music With Love return with another one of their fresh EPs, this time from the dream team of Kaldera and Lazarusman with remixes from Urmet K, SURAJ and Simina Grigoriu & Moe Danger. 

Kaldera a producer from Northern Europe and Lazarusman a poet from Southern Africa and their rhythmic, spiritual journey always makes for real musical adventures. That is the case here with Oceans of My Mind, a deep, swelling house tune with great chords and a dark bassline. The thought provoking vocals drift up top as the turbulent grooves roll on and bring real class to the floor. 

The Urmet K remix is more blissful and laid back, with breezy chords and gentle beats rolling you into a trance. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. Einmusik - Multiple Life (Mollono.Bass Remix)

Sag & Tre is proud to present the first volume of the "Freshly Picked" compilations featuring a range of hand-selected music to kick off the New Year, 2019.

Featuring scene stalwarts signed to labels/collectives such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Rebellion der Traumer, Dream Culture, Where The Heart Is + more, the compilation is set to turn heads, and stay in your record box for a while. The compilation also features a couple of newcomers, who compliment the entire piece offering something new, instead of deducting from the experience.

Elias Dore is the next announced artist for this compilation. Originally from Berlin, Elias explored many facets of music, but what has over time stayed with him is his love for melodic warmth and organic sounds. Elias has been trusted to provide warmup support for Rampue, Nico Stojan, Mira, Nicola Cruz, Holger Hecler and many more. While he regularly plays in Berlin’s well known clubs such as Sisyphos or Katerblau, he recently picked up some producing boots and made this beautifully unique composition called “Ayasa”.

This is one of the many Sag & Tre fruits off the compilation, all to be revealed before December 25th, when the compilation is up for pre-order. 

Artists like Powel, Jean Caillou and Ramiro Rossotti have already been announced to appear on the compilation. “Freshly Picked Vol. 1” will release on all digital stores and streaming services on Friday, January 4, 2019.

In Greek mythology, Icarus and Daedalus myth stands to represent man's ability to push himself to the limits, trying to achieve what was once thought as impossible. 

Daedalus was a brilliant mind and found work in Crete as an architect ruled then by King Minos. He fell in love with Naucrate and they had a child whom they named Icarus. 
At some point, King Minos asked Daedalus to build a labyrinth for the Minotaur so he wouldn't escape and be hidden from everyone. 
He then kept Daedalus and Icarus prisoners in a high tower in Crete so they wouldn't reveal the secret of the labyrinth to anyone. 

Considering their options to escape, it turned out the only way was by air. Deadalus conceived two pairs of wings with feathers he had gathered over time. He warned his son not to fly too close to the sun or sea. Icarus flew next to the sun and the wax holding the feathers together melted. He fell down into the sea and drowned. A little caution and some patience is necessary to achieve great things and we think the whole process of this EP describes just this. 

After releasing a few singles on Anomaly Music Collective and Lump Records, Samaha crafted the Icarus EP over the past year and makes his debut on Art Vibes. With four original tracks, we aim at showcasing this promising producer from Seattle, USA. Coming from a trance background, Anthony has now shifted to the ethnic and worldly beats of house and techno. 

‘Icarus', the main track of the EP is a solid progressive house collaboration with french duo Pandhora. Elaborate chord progressions and crafted chopped vocals blend with the delicate ethnic percussions and the gliding deep bass. 

‘Sultan and the Scarab' showcases Samaha's trance background while presenting a lovely ethnic touch. In one ear, a booming royal horn synth to represent the Sultan, and in the other, a playful guitar to represent the Scarab. Combined with powerful drums, this will make any crowd dance through the night. 
Going further into Anthony's world, third track 'Asabiyyah' is a hypnotic electronic tale built up from trippy vocals and crazy arpeggios. 

To finish off this EP on the right note, ‘Vendetta' echoes to ‘Icarus' as it presents the same vocal arranged differently in the background of the track. Samaha demonstrates once again his ability to compose unique melodies that stick to the ears. 

For this EP, we are gifted with talented remixers who proposed an alternative to the original tracks, in their own refined styles. Spanish violonist and producer Alvaro Suarez as well as Athens based Lannka produced their own version of ‘The Sultan and The Scarab' while Gardens of Babylon's Vander worked on a psychedelic and deep version of ‘Asabiyyah'.
