We came across Ayako’s Music recently, one of her @gegenberlin sets, and were taken by it immediately. We learned that we lived in Ireland during the same time and also in Germany, Aachen. Thus, it is surprising that we never crossed paths in the past. 😂 We’re thrilled when she agreed to collaborate on our project since there is so much to love about Ayako’s music. She notably won our hearts when we learned how much time and energy she puts in promoting emerging artists and how heavily she is involved in the queer scene. Did we mention how brilliant her tracks and sets are? 😜 We can’t wait to hear her perform live and marvel at her concentrated face, and maybe glimpsing a nod towards her CDJ when the machine does what she intended it to do. Thank you, Ayako, for the incredibly well-curated set and thoughtful interview.

Zainspirowany mocnymi dźwiękami, po kilku latach działalności artystycznej zaczął grać muzykę odbiegającą od standardowych setów DJ'skich, włączając w swoich występach automaty perkusyjne, tworząc tym samym hybrydowe miksy na żywo. Dbałość o proces selekcji i inspiracja industrialnym, często mrocznym klimatem sprawiają, że jego sety są dynamiczną i konsekwentną podróżą, w którą zabiera swoją publiczność.

[PL] Duo K, to kolektyw z Katowic tworzony przez Kamila Lechowicza i Karola
Łabusia - dwóch pasjonatów muzyki wszelakiej maści, a ta która ich połączyła,
to techno. Za konsolą są ze sobą tak zgodni, jakby byli jednością. Uwielbiają
poruszać się w industrialnie acidowych klimatach, przełamując je melodyjno
wokalnym kawałkiem. Duo K powstało w Listopadzie 2019 roku i od tego czasu
pojawiają się na imprezach takich jak: Rave na pustyni, czy 130+ bpm by
NPLM, dzieląc scenę z międzynarodowymi artystami wielkiego formatu jak:
Stephan Kruse, Robpm, Siasia, Noemi Black, Rdk, Peter Fern, Blooma, Carla
Roca i wieloma innymi. Poza imprezami prowadzą swoją autorską audycję
radiową w Raving.fm, gdzie mieli okazję gościć m.in.: T78, The Yellow Heads,
Bultech, Paxtech, Deas. Duet Dj-ski również mocno walczy o pozycję wśród
producentów muzyki techno, wydając na przestrzeni lat kilka EPek w wielu
wytwórniach zagranicznych, w tym: Technical Vibe, Techno Wood records,
Leading Astray, Dirty Stuff records, Lamp, itd. Ich nagrania z powodzeniem
remiksowali: Hypernova, Kirill Guk, Two Selves i inni.
Regularnie produkując, angażując się w nowe projekty i pojawiając na
imprezach, gdzie przyciągają tłumy, chłopcy wciąż zaznaczają swoją mocna
pozycję na rynku i pokazują, że nie mają zamiaru odpuścić w podboju
muzycznego świata.

[ENG] Established by Kamil Lechowicz and Karol Łabuś Duo K collective comes from Katowice city. Connected by techno, both of them assure huge passion to whole meaning of music. Looking as unity behind the dj booth they declare they always agree with each other. They love to make transitions from industrial to acid sounds and even break them by melodic and vocal tracks.
Since the project started in 2019 they played on many events incl. Rave on the desert (PL Rave na pustyni), 130+ bpm by NPLM or Proper Rave. They share the scene with international huge names like Stephan Kruse, Robpm, Siasia, Noemi Black, Rdk, Peter Fern, Blooma, Carla Roca and so on. Beside DJing they have their own radio audition in Berlin based Raving.fm where they guests were e.g. T78, The Yellow Heads, Bultech, Paxtech, Deas.
They also strive for their position among techno music producers and prove it by releasing in international labels such as Technical Vibe, Techno Wood records, Leading Astray, Dirty Stuff records, Lamp and many more. Their own tracks were successfully remixed by Hypernova, Kirill Guk, Two Selves and the others.
Attracting the crowd playing on events, regularly producing music and being engaged in many projects boys are still showing their strong position on the scene and it seems that they’re not going to give up conquering the musical world.

Paranoid [Podcast - Guest mix #32] Duo K

There are two great things to come out of Gütersloh, in North West Germany. No 1 - The Pickert, made out of flour, milk, eggs, currants and yeast, with a recipe dating back to 1900 which is still popular and served in restaurants today. No 2 - Ike Dusk, the latest signing to User Experience. With solid, forward thinking tracks already released on Obscuur, Nocturnal Frequencies and Impeto and remix’s for I Hate Models and Plukk to name a few he is continuing to execute his raw and driving productions into 2018 with style. UX004D comes backed up with remix’s from Jamie Curnock & JoeFarr.
