"Fanzine Records expands in the time-space continuum with the launch of IOR, a sub-label that showcases Roi's most personal vision of his Techno universe: categorical, expansive, with gigantic basses and propulsive rhythms. IOR emerges as a sub-outlet for the increasingly prolific production of Coruña’s native artist. IOR spreads around dualities: past-future, avant-garde and tradition, inspiration in the homeland (‘Magical Galician’, its myths and legends, misty and humid forests...), and at the same time in the dystopian abstraction of Techno, the confused present and the uncertain future.
The forthcoming EPs will be linked to different characters from Galician history and mythology, as with this second release, 'Mouras EP'. This dualistic vision of past-future is one of the germinal signs of IOR, where Roi's hefty, opaque and point-blank Techno merges hand by hand with mythological and magical chapters from a remote place at the end of the Earth."

"DANCETRAX I" is the first installment in the DANCETRAX series by Belgrade-based producer & DJ: Neutron. Building upon the spirit of his club sound Neutron dives even deeper into big arena sound with this EP.

The progressive and deep aspects of his music blend with darker techno, culminating in a 4-track exploration of evolving sonic layers. Neutron continues to delve into the infinite potential of 909 and 303, drawing inspiration from the 90s.

This limited yet evocative electronic setup seamlessly intertwines the artist's vision with each session. The result is a rich tapestry of rhythms and textures, with "DANCETRAX I" immersing listeners in an even deeper exploration of Neutron's creative journey and genre-bending prowess.

There are two great things to come out of Gütersloh, in North West Germany. No 1 - The Pickert, made out of flour, milk, eggs, currants and yeast, with a recipe dating back to 1900 which is still popular and served in restaurants today. No 2 - Ike Dusk, the latest signing to User Experience. With solid, forward thinking tracks already released on Obscuur, Nocturnal Frequencies and Impeto and remix’s for I Hate Models and Plukk to name a few he is continuing to execute his raw and driving productions into 2018 with style. UX004D comes backed up with remix’s from Jamie Curnock & JoeFarr.

Headless Horseman returns to 47 for the label’s first 2018 release, 47014. The new solo EP will drop as 12” vinyl and digital download via Tommy Four Seven’s imprint on February 23rd.

The four tracker features dense techno with individual moods. “Revelation" is a downbeat lurching machine-giant with repeat climaxes. “Concussion" is broken and feverish, with sculpted layers of pressure. The momentum of “Locust" drives on the edge of an untravelled path and cannot rest. The final track "Gravity" is subtle and snarling, with a slowly ascending melody, scraping against future and past.

VSK is honoured to start the journey of his new imprint with a selection of great artists. “Equilibrio volume 1” is a presentation of the different visions of techno the label wants to focus on. Modernity, deepness and hypnotism, sound design and complex textures will be the key elements of the label. 

The first track is a collaboration between VSK himself and the Polish producer Michal Jablonski. X&Y is a combination of Epic drones, glitchy fx and a metallic fm synth line. Speed and fast modulation are the main ingredients for the development of an obsessive groove. 
Malaria by the Spanish artist Kwartz, is an hypnotic dance between extreme ranges of frequency ; white noise and rising screams are wonderfully mixed together with an aggressive broken-subbeat. 
The surgical touch of Ansome brings with “Operational Amplifier” a really complex sound design and fierce rhythmic programming, while a distorted roar beats hauntingly the time. 
The last cut, Shori by the italian artist Flaminia, is an obscure and elegant march. Cinematic and ethereal strings come together with an aggressive raw beat , providing an excellent techno experience.

Premiere: NX1 - EW3 [EAR027]

The Brvtalist is proud to present music off the new double cassette release, Tears for Fears Vol. 2, a massive V/A compilation from Soil Records. The evolution of Soil is based mainly on a clear industrial line, in a style which SOJ has been polishing as an artist and as well as being responsible for the platform itself. The label has evolved in other facets such as integration of renowned artists in its catalog - marked with both cassette and vinyl releases as well as digital. In June 2018, Soil released Tears For Fears Vol. 1 and now a year and a half later comes the massive follow up- a second part with 35 tracks and the current projection of the label. Tears For Fears Vol. 2 is a great showcase for artists and projects with consolidated trajectories, although some of them may seem more discreet with great variety of sub genres and interpretations.
To celebrate the release (which is out today!) we are featuring 3 tracks from the compilation - each a bit different but all represent what the label and comp is all about. The first is the ominous techno slayer, “Justice” from Argentinian producer and DJ, Distant. Next is the haunting nostalgia and devastating synths of Colombia’s Filmmaker and the third is a crushing electro-body work from the always great Raw Ambassador. The compilation also includes music from Adriana Petit, Bad Faith Actor, Unhealed, Nocturnerror, Unnaturalism and much more.
