'The Loss Adjusters' is a site-specific audio walk. It is part of artist Katrina Palmer's project 'End Matter', a series of narratives set on the isle of Portland, Dorset, about mythical inhabitants of the island. 

Each part follows a different narrative and set of characters: the spectral figures of the Loss Adjusters themselves and a mysterious writer; a convict turned gravedigger called Ash; and the Horrocks sisters, the eccentric daughters of a deceased quarryman.

The three parts of 'The Loss Adjusters' is designed to be listened to whilst walking a specific route around Easton on Portland, starting in the supposed office of the Loss Adjusters at 52 Easton Street, and visiting Bowers Quarry, St. Georges Church cemetery and Fancies Quarry, ending back at 52 Easton Street.

The first track concerns the spectral figures of the Loss Adjusters themselves, and a mysterious writer who lived in the flat above their offices. Although it can be listened to anywhere in the world, this track is designed to be listened to at 52 Easton on Portland.

The Loss Adjusters Part 1

Part of artist Katrina Palmer's project 'End Matter', a series of narratives set on the isle of Portland, Dorset, about mythical inhabitants of the island, this is the third part of a site-specific audio walk called 'The Loss Adjusters'. 

The third track is a reading by a narrator interwoven with the voices of characters known as the Horrocks sisters, the eccentric daughters of a deceased quarryman, who occupy huts on the edge of the island. Although it can be listened to anywhere in the world, this track is designed to be listened to when leaving St. George's Cemetery and walking up Wide Street in Easton, Portland.
