arAKAFAKX!

A heavy and melancholic ballad about the weight of fear, buried memories and the long aftershocks a person can carry through life.
The song follows someone who experienced overwhelming anxiety in youth, found years of peace and later faced the same sudden, intense terror again.
It describes the physical impact of panic, the loss of control and the desperate wish for the fear to stop, while also showing a quiet form of endurance.
Cinematic strings, a dark atmosphere and a gritty low-range vocal tone shape the sound, while the instrumental keeps a clear emotional core.
The narrative remains open to interpretation.

The instrumental composition and melody were performed and recorded manually.
Vocals and production support were generated using Suno for artistic enhancement.

Stellar Newness

I categorize my tracks as "psychedelic folk-rock avant-garde electronic ambient experimental". The recordings appear to be a cross between the styles of Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Beck, The The (Matt Johnson), late 1960s psychedelic rock/folk, new age, industrial, John Fahey, 1980s British alternative rock, Kevin Ayers, 1990s U2, Kraftwerk, a hopeful anti-bleak version of Radiohead, contemporary electronica, late 1970s David Bowie, post-punk, a more energetic bit of Elliott Smith, 1980s New Wave pop, noise rock, and a positive incarnation of Depeche Mode.  

What does my music sound like to you?

Here are what I see as the biggest influences on what I have put together as a songwriter/musician:

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, U2, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The The (Matt Johnson), Rush, The Who, psychedelic/hippie rock from late 60s, The Doors, 80s/90s Brit alt rock, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, The Kinks, Guns N' Roses, Brian Eno, Keith Green, Jeff Buckley, atmospheric music, Pearl Jam, Elvis Presley, Budgie, many Windham Hill artists, Tori Amos, late 60s/70s/80s classic rock, James Brown, Enya, The Verve, John Lennon, INXS, 70s Funk, Elton John, Beethoven, electronic music that sounds like rock, Marc Bolan (T-Rex), Bob Dylan, Metallica, The Chemical Brothers, Stone Temple Pilots, Missing Persons, John Williams, Kelley Stoltz, The Crystal Method, Of Montreal, Nirvana, Tears for Fears, Billy Joel, Megadeth, The Cars, Franz Schubert (piano, especially his impromptu compositions) and movie soundtracks "The Mission," "A Beautiful Mind", "Amistad", "Braveheart", "Gladiator", "The Firm", "Dances With Wolves" and "The Ghost and the Darkness".

In my mid-twenties, I began making these tunes after abandoning all former childhood creative activities in my teenage and young adult years: bit.ly/2F2dxVP. I am grateful that I persevered during the past 20 years or so, during which I committed myself to learning or relearning how to play instruments, compose songs, craft poetry/lyrics, sing, and record at home.  My level of respect for professional musicians and artists grew exponentially as I realized just how difficult this work can be.  Along the path of this personal musical evolution, I experienced a lot of encouragement and inspiration from countless friends, musicians/artists, family, books, concerts, and documentaries.

Grunge/Metal_Trackday-RaceBike_IT-Nerd... 😁

I’m a former drummer of ANNOYING L.I.F.E. and still play at home on a Roland e-drum (after years with a Mapex double-bass kit). I also use a keyboard – just enough to record the melodies that come to my mind.

Most of my tracks start as 2–10 minute live recordings of my own compositions. I never learned proper keyboard playing; I just use it to express ideas. I deliberately record the raw sound with a Zoom H2n above the keyboard, because that captures the real character of my playing – something line-out or MIDI can’t reproduce.

I upload this recording to Suno, use the Cover mode, and usually set the “Audio Influence” to around 70–80 % so the original structure stays recognizable. The AI adds layers and polish, but the core melody, rhythm and feel come from my recording. To me, Suno works like my own band: I provide the idea, and the AI helps shape the result. That’s why these AI-assisted songs feel very personal to me – they start with melodies I invent myself.

All covers and remakes are based solely on my own ideas. No outside songs, no borrowed melodies.
