Favourites for many within today’s modern techno landscape, Stuttgart-based pairing Marco Blasi and Luigi Urban, aka SHDW & Obscure Shape, continue to grow their profile and position as artists leading the current new wave of techno. Having launched their first label From Another Mind in 2014, releasing material from themselves alongside remixes from the likes of Rødhad, James Ruskin and Dax J, early December welcomes the arrival of a new project and a second imprint to the fold, Mutual Rytm.
Showcasing a new dimension of techno and electronic music, celebrating originality and innovation by combining timeless cuts from the past with cutting edge sounds of the present and the future, the label will serve as a breeding ground for new artists alongside established talent and legends from the scene. Opening the imprint in style, the label bosses head up the first-ever release and the first V/A’ Federation Of Rytm I’ as they welcome a selection of new and established talent.

The duos rolling opener ‘Conquest Of Paradise’ quickly sets the tone and builds to reveal a classy and slick offering, combining rich stabs with tough drums and sharp hats, while Invexis keeps the tempo high as he weaves escalating synths and pacy kicks across ‘Elektronenwind’. VIL & Cravo combine on the jacking and lively ‘Apolonia Loop’, as eerie synths work amongst warped vocals across a tweaked out peak-time effort, before Alarico keeps the energy levels up throughout the relentless funk of ‘I’m Into You’.
The second half of the package sees Lars Huismann enter the fray with the no-nonsense, snaking grooves of ‘Hyper Dub’, with Nicolas Vogler’s ‘Sauva Bite’ fusing hypnotic tones with straight regimented claps for an intense yet playful ride through sounds and sonics. ‘Your Dry Lips’ switches up the aesthetic as Grindvik journeys down a wormhole of metallic percussion and warping low-ends, before closing the show with authority via Stigmata’s grinding and menacing offering ‘Gestas’.

Emerging as artist of note for both now and the future, Chlär continues to craft and shape his sound as he curates
his own high-octane approach to techno. Combining dynamic performances taking in three and four deck mixes with his own up front productions and his talents as a former mastering engineer, the Swiss talent has become a respected name amongst his peers. After releases on Lobster Theremin and his own Bipolar Disorder imprint, the Berlin-based DJ, producer and label boss heads to SHDW & Obscure Shape’s blooming label Mutual Rytm to deliver six precise and powerful cuts across his ‘Optimized Groove’ EP.

“As the names states, ‘Optimized grooves’ is a collection of tracks designed to match specific parts of the event/night. Opener ‘Early Morning Acceleration’ sets the tone early and dives into a looping ride through slinking hats and bustling arrangements - combining classic influences with forward thinking touches to reveal a dynamic slice of techno. Next, ‘Maximum Performance’ fuses swelling low-ends, sharp percussion and vibrant leads, while ‘Love Blaster’ delivers an all out fiesta armed with rolling drums, sharp whistles and rich chords. On the flip, B1 ‘Night Genesis’ sees hypnotic loopy vocals balanced by tough kicks and luminous synths, before ‘Spirit Enhancer’ showcases a soulful trip as resonant electronics work around the track’s tunnelling groove. Already playing key clubs at the age of just 18, blurring the lines between techno, breaks and electro with his growing trademark sound, his performances across Berlin and beyond have captured the attention of many as he showcases his up-front and powerful sound. Next, he heads to SHDW & Obscure Shape’s Mutual Rytm imprint for the first time as he reveals his six-track ‘Sycamore’ EP.

Chontane - In Roots [Artaphine Premiere]

SHDW & Obscure Shape invite Invexis for his first 12” in almost 20 years as the German live act and producer returns to Mutual Rytm for his impactful EP, ‘Odyssey’.
With an ethos of merging the past with the present and future, harnessing classic techno influences and shaping them into the sounds of tomorrow, SHDW & Obscure Shape’s Mutual Rytm imprint has become an exciting home for rising talents of note and established artists to shine a spotlight on the genre. However, the next release on the label welcomes a long-awaited return from Georg Köhler, aka Invexis. Known for releases such as ‘Kalibreur’ on Salpeter Records and ‘Chiffre’ on Planet Rhythm Records, with further releases via Compound and Kazumi, the German talent crafted and shaped his own sound within the techno landscape in the early 2000s. Returning with his first EP release in close to two decades, late December welcomes a return to Mutual Rytm, following on from the inclusion of his track ‘Elektronenwind’ on the label’s ‘Federation Of Rytm I’ release, as he delivers a selection of dynamic, melodic and driving techno offerings across ‘Odyssey’.
‘Silhouette’ opens the package with authority as spirited drums and spiralling synths take hold of a twisting and turning lead effort, with ‘Non Return To Zero’ building a spiralling groove via frantic yet measured percussion, sweeping melodies and funky stabs. ‘Red Storm’ opens the B-side with a more up-front production combining harsher metallic tones with relentless drive and crashing hats, while ‘Body Impulse’ utilises dubby stabs and eerie atmospherics to balance light and dark. The title track ‘Odyssey’ closes the vinyl offering, with a euphoric and rapturous production harnessing resonant chords, looping drum grooves and elated leads to bring things to an impressive crescendo and deliver a record that will remain in the ears of listeners for a long time.
As always with the label, digital purchasers are treated to an exclusive track as Köhler combines zig-zagging grooves, refined synths and off-kilter glitches and bleeps across digital exclusive ‘Transition’.

Rituals is the underground techno label from Secus who is based in Los Angeles, USA and was launched by the label boss himself, as well as featuring EPs from Sleepy Cat and SOLëM.

Lining up his latest offering, label head Secus returns with his debut album titled 'Shadows in Silence,' which unveils a deep dive into his sonic evolution with a curated selection of 8 original works from the past year, plus 2 remixes. The release reflects the shifting textures and hypnotic energy that define his signature sound.

His past productions include contributions to the likes of 6AM Group's Synthetik Sounds, Detroit's Blank Code, Lindsey Herbert's EvilGroove, Vegim's TMMR, and Steve Parker's MUTED rec, to name only a few.

SOLëM is an LA talent who returns to Rituals following his previous EP and has released on VAST and Tympanum Recordings.

Texas-based producer Declan James runs the VOIDWARE imprint, and also lists music on labels such as Edit Select Records, Unfaced, Heist Mode and Crisis of Man.

Blurring the lines between driving techno and immersive atmospherics, the album moves through intricate rhythms, layered harmonics, and a sense of tension that builds and releases across each track. Adding further depth to the project, remixes from SOLëM and Declan James offer fresh interpretations, pushing the sound into new territories.

For the next edition of the Artaphine series, we’re excited to welcome Finalversion3 - label head of the acclaimed Gordo Trax imprint and event series.

His latest EP on Gordo Trax showcased his wide-ranging sound, moving seamlessly between techno and drum & bass, and featured powerful remixes from none other than Oscar Mulero and Answer Code Request.

The set we’re sharing is a live recording from his performance at Spook Club: a relentless journey through driving techno, rich in detailed sound design, and even dipping into the depths of dubstep.

Valentín Corujo belongs to the main core of our label since forever, alone as Kessell and also as part of his Exium project.    Through his long spanning career he has developed an own signature in sound, combining the rude industrial approach from Birmingham roots with the soul of the american foundations. Using his machinery as a vehicle to transmit his own vision on techno.   His sonic speech is always personal and aside of trends, using distortion as a weapon, creating solid and mental tools for the most advanced club environments.   This new EP makes no difference, four cuts of raw and intricate hypnosis without compromise.   Savage Garden sums up all being said before, a busy drum workout, the necessary amount of distortion and the complexity needed for your head to be abducted.   On Hidden Echoes speed rises, the rhythm is more intense, and the repetitive synth motifs grow and mutate, piercing your cortex as the arrangement flows.   B side starts with Seeing Beyond a robust groover with an asymmetric scifi touch on top spiced with drones and atmosphere floating over the complex structure.   Missing Time closes the release again mixing rugged drums with futuristic details, using reverb to create space in the mix and sharp hi-hats to keep your feet busy on the floor while having your mind blurred with the synthetic elements.   Another immaculate step in a flawless career.   ESPAÑOL   Valentín Corujo pertenece al núcleo principal de nuestro sello desde siempre, en solitario como Kessell y también como parte de su proyecto Exium.   A lo largo de su dilatada carrera ha desarrollado un sonido propio, combinando el rudo enfoque industrial de las raíces de Birmingham con el alma de la tradición americana. Kessell - Seeing Beyond [Artaphine Premiere]

Mary Yuzovskaya unveils the ‘The More You Know’ remix EP on her vinyl-only Monday Off imprint, releasing 6th June 2025. Featuring reworks from Spain’s ORBE, 90s US Techno legend Mike Parker, Judas Records’ JUDAΣ, and Duna founder CONCEPTUAL, the release builds on an EP that won the support of artists like Daniel Avery, re:ni, Luke Slater, GiGi FM, Kr!z, and Jako Jako. 
First up, Token and Mote-Evolver artist and Orbe Records boss ORBE remixes ‘Ittiologia’, maintaining the original’s hypnotism by amplifying its eerie soundscapes for a loopy, deep space trip. JUDAΣ, shrouded in mystery yet known for his self-released EPs on his eponymous label and releases on ARTS, then revisits ‘Micologia’, completely reworking its tripped-out sequences into short bursts of droning synth work. 
Tresor, Semantica, and Prologue’s Mike Parker also provides a version of ‘Micologia’, with the US Techno lynchpin slowing down its rhythm while its weighted synthlines bubble up between its kicks and rides. Closing out this remix package, Italy’s CONCEPTUAL reworks ‘Ittiologia’, building tension via the original’s dark and shadowy atmospheres but switching up its low-end for an electric, late-night feel. 
Mary Yuzovskaya is a storyteller. Through delicate, masterful curation and a deep knowledge of experimental, trippy Techno, she weaves together sonic journeys - with ‘The More You Know - Remixes’ making for another excellent addition to her Monday Off label.

Crystal Geometry | Artaphine Series 111

SAMA is the next artist featured in the Artaphine Series. The Dutch producer and DJ focuses on sound design and solid groove to craft techno with an emotional edge. His distinctive approach caught the attention of Secret Cinema and, more recently, Rødhåd — leading to a contribution on one of the WSNWG Various Artist EPs and a feature in Rødhåd’s Fabric mix.

This set showcases the art of an opening performance: a slow, deliberate build using minimalist elements to create an atmosphere that carries the crowd into the early hours — recorded at Club BASIS in Utrecht.

Stuttgart’s David Löhlein has been involved in electronic music for a number of years and launched his Vision Ekstase event in his hometown of Stuttgart before providing the inaugural release on the newly formed label which picked up support from the likes of Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Efdemin and many more established names within the techno world. David now invites remixes from Mote-Evolver artist Rene Wise, Planet Rhythm producer VIL and Vision Ekstase residents Rove Ranger and Fabian Wegmeth.
Rene Wise’s remix of ‘Altai’ is a rolling techno shaker featuring revolving percussion, shimmering bass grooves and the hypnotic vocal from the original floating above before Rove Ranger’s Gothic remix deploys sharp hitting drums, fierce modulated tones and haunting leads underneath.
On the flip, VIL’s ‘Red Code’ remix makes way for vibrant, clap-heavy rhythms, driving modulations and resounding frequencies keeping the energy flowing while Fabian Wegmeth’s remix rounds things off with industrial sounding sonics peppered with machine-like synth whirls, menacing oscillations and shrieking soundscapes throughout.

We continue to bring you talented underground artists mixed with more established names in the scene. It’s only recently that VINYA had joined us for our big various artist album in January 2020 and together with Tham and Rezystor he will make sure you stack up on your daily dose of churning techno shade.

First track’s characteristics are something we see more often from VINYA; phat crunchy saw waves and voices in the left and right field to set you in a hostile trance. The almost serene rest in Flui is insidious, as you know it will come back to hit you again. A new born classic synth rhythm with overdriven waves done the right way in Caun, pushing you to the absolute limit. Enter the freight train with Tham for more hypnotizing and abstractness while Rezystor perfectly assembles Caun up to power 2 – hard to pick a favorite as they are both very effective.

To celebrate hitting their 20th release, Cleric’s imprint pulls together 23 talents for an essential various artist compilation including tracks from the likes of Rebekah, Cleric, Stef Mendesidis, Remco Beekwilder & Stranger, Endlec, Kwartz, Setaoc Mass, Roman Poncet, Slam and many more.

Clergy has become synonymous with a balance of atmospheric and hard hitting brand of techno ever since 2014. The boss's own music has been key to that, with carefully curated releases from guests such as Dax J, Kwartz, Reflec and Cleric himself. Helping to make the label an underground favourite. ‘Clergy Visions 01’ sees Cleric invite an array on techno heavyweights to contribute to this compilation that’s mixed by the label boss himself.
Things open up with the bleak ambience and fizzing electric cables of Jokasti & Nek's 'Grained' then Sept's 'Artifical' lays down a tunnelling techno groove that immediately locks you in. The mysterious alias, Reizemann heads off to a cosmic realm with its deep space pads slowly building the momentum throughout the drums. The energy levels then stay high throughout tracks from Roman Poncet, Kwartz and Setaoc Mass, then leading onto the groove of Stef Mendesidis.
Testament to Cleric's skills as a DJ and sequencer is the fact this journey is constantly evolving while remaining coherent. A mid- section featuring the likes of Endlec, Sleeparchive and EAS keeps you on your toes with perfectly stripped back but hard dynamic drum programming and intense melody work. Remco Beekwilder & Stranger bring a more hard hitting and industrial style before Slam calm the fires once more allowing you to sink into a smooth, elongated roller. It's left to the dystopian darkness of Rebekah and atmospheric techno brilliance of Lerias to close out this most adventurous mix in real style.

Tin Man is a master of acid undulations who has put out countless LPs and EPs on Acid Test and Global A Records. Here he serves up a perfectly soft and tender acid lullaby with zoned out pads glowing up top like distant stars. After cult classics on Lobster Theremin, Delsin and more, nthng’s dreamy, soulful sound is much loved and he provides his first ever remix here. Over 10 minutes he takes you on a cosmic ambient techno voyage to the edges of the galaxy on surging groves that leave you entranced.
For the final track, Primal Code have taken their dreamy sound, lush acid melodies and delicate drums to the likes of Hypnus, The Gods Planet and Semantica. It's a style that fits perfectly for this label and their remix is a warm, bubbly and deep techno classic with fuzzy acid and slick drum loops that lock you in the zone. Tin Man’s ‘Detroit Remix’ and nthng’s ‘Saiyan Dream’ are two superb digital bonus tracks to round things out.

Amsterdam's techno talent Keith Carnal returns to his own Second Degree with a fresh four tracker.

Keith Carnal's techno has a signature sound that draws on rich melodies and locked-in groove - it is made for dancing but comes with an ominous feeling of melancholy that makes a lasting impact. He also layers in percussion that immerses his audience ever deep and as well as DJing around the globe has also released on Affin LTD, Arts and his very own Second Degree imprint.

He kicks off his latest powerful missive with the driving, rock solid kicks of 'Hope', a dark and alluring track where the heavenly synths bring the only light to the groove. 'Endless' is a peak-time cut that will have you riding on the edge of your seat thanks to its high speed arps and icy hi hats, all racing along over more firmly rooted kick drums.

Carnal's cultured studio craftsmanship is laid bare once more on the pounding, stripped back yet compelling 'Daily Route' which is linear techno with a soulful synth sound that takes you well into the future on a mysterious vibe. Closer 'Sadly Mistaken' has taught, pining kick drums and spooky howling synth sounds that are brilliantly unsettling as you march onwards.

“The Unfinished Fight Against Humanity” is SNTS' third full-length album following "The Rustling Of The Leaves" in 2015 and "Losing Sight" in 2016.

Ten tracks that are born from the combination of historical, mystical and current references, which lead to a reflection of how the human being can complicate its existence due to behaviour and the consequences that derive from such actions.

The dark, hard and energetic rhythms of the album narrate the coexistence of diverse human values throughout history, from peace to war, from love to hate, from empathy to ego.

In words of the artist SNTS, “the human being has been created to live in society, the problem arises when society fails to coexist or compete to survive”.

The label Raise was created by the Parisian booking and management agency Raise Booking, specialized in electronic music. Its roster is composed of a large panel of emerging talents from the current techno scene.

Second opus of the Weapons series, this 4 tracks EP aims at revealing the universe of the French artist Tauceti.

Native of Grenoble in France, her techno is mental, obscure and percussive, calling for disconnection from the present moment to dive into the depths of the mind.

As our Weapons series aims at promoting collaboration between artists, Tauceti had invite on this EP our dears Darzack and Mac Declos, as well as a distinguished guest: Raär.
