After the devastating earthquakes affecting Turkey and Syria, Istanbul based Techno brand RX has teamed up with artists globally to release an exclusive compilation in order to help the people in need.

37 of the hottest names of the current techno scene have donated a brand new unsigned track, where all the sales and streaming funds will be directed to NGOs to provide support and assistance to earthquake victims both in Turkey and Syria.

We are grateful for the global unity of the techno scene for such an important cause.

We are glad to have Oliver Rosemann onboard again with no less than 10 techno tracks on an extended digital EP. The german producer is well known for his trademark sound, always direct but full of details, showcasing his awesome skills in the studio. Holoverse starts the sonic odyssey, direct to the dancefloor, with a crispy and subtle distorted sequence floating over a sharp groove. Things keep hypnotic and the mental approach is only disturbed by occasional claps and reverberated washes. Exo-Genetics keeps things busy, providing the tension again with continuous sequences and reverberated organic percussion wisely programmed.Things get darker on Megastructures, more reverberated textures, precise kick drums on a mainly percussive approach making this one the perfect mixing tool. Post AI Society returns to tension and synth action using a constantly evolving one bar loop progressively spiced with several drum layers.Wait until the end for a crazy effected galore that will sure make some trouble on the proper dancefloors. Mind Interface is metallic and obsessive, the main FM sequence is the starring here as the title suggests, a truly ming burner. Time Dilation looks like a continuation of the previous one but using more high pitched synth lines and a broken groove. Quantum Era stops the machine abruptly, acting as a beatless interlude to have a little rest before the last sprint, with Nanobot-Augmented at the ignitor, providing the scifi slice in this anabolic workout, a mental driller for the dark hours in your favorite smokey and flashy spot. Celestial Colonies reminds of  the best of British tradition from the early Surgeon stuff, funky, shuffled and asymmetric. Hyper Connected is the last cut, obsessive and elastic with a relentless sequence drilling the walls spiced with Fm percussion details and synthesized sweeps.

On the 30th of April, VOLTAGE Imprint will release the Transistor compilation featuring a long list of artists that contribute to our local Belgian scene - north, south, and central. Hosting a variety of styles, from hypnotic to industrial, and familiar names; a collection of people who have distinguished themselves in contemporary dance music not just in our country, but around the world. 75% of the proceeds of this compilation will go to these artists in an effort to support them doing what they do best: delivering us joy and a soundtrack to our night. This compilation isn’t just a cry for help, but equally an affirmation that our scene is worth fighting for.

The contributions involved will come from a combination of each of our very own artists from the Voltage Agency & Imprint and others - proudly including the likes of Kr!z, Marco Bailey, One Track Brain, Farrago, Jacidorex, Radical G and TWAN to name only a few. We are proud to showcase their work as it represents the current sound of our scene and the music we are eagerly waiting to dance to once again in our favorite clubs and events after this isolated period of confinement.
The Transistor Compilation, a name meant to honor an effort to rectify the damages being done to our artists, will be available on all digital platforms including Bandcamp. We ask you to consider buying it, as COVID-19 has rendered it impossible for these artists to play their booked gigs and therefore benefit from their main source of income.

This isn’t the first time our community has been threatened and it certainly won’t be the last. Music and art become more important as times become increasingly trying. Dancing has never felt so appropriate.
